There was a project of indiginious Artillery gun and Army was supposed to put in trials as stated by some HIT official In uniform (I think an officer Maj. Gen rank) during last IDEAS exhibition.

Please inform what happened to that project ???? Was it dropped ???
That was not for Pak. Some middle eastern country. That is still being worked upon.

As PK said, that project was not for PA. It’s for a middle eastern customer. They first requested a Towed 155MM gun, which HIT made for them, it was tested and sent back for improvements, and the project is continuing into its second phase now which might involve the development of an SP using the same gun. PA is adopting a sort of wait and watch strategy with that one, let the customer pay for the development, take a look at the final product, if it meets PAs requirements, they may go for it.

More or less two dozen regiments. For now, it's without TOT. Moreover, we aren't developing any of our 155 at the moment.
From what I heard there is some tot involved in regards to support components of SH15.
Also wow 2 dozen regiments thats approximately 432 guns (24x18).

This is strange, considering their are multiple options for a towed 155mm gun around the world, I find it weird a customer would require Pakistan to develop such a system unless they wanted something to mass produce themselves.

Seems a perfect opportunity for Pakistan to develop a system using a customers money that could be used for ourselves

two dozen regiments are huge numbers.nearly 400 SPH.if that's true than pak army will have a hige advantage against india in kashmir clash

If you look at what's happening in Ukraine, the world has underestimated the need for artillery and a shell supply and we need to learn the lessons of the Ukraine war quickly

Drones, air defence, artillery we need to be proactive

Even if a middle Eastern customer is funding a howitzer project we need to see this as a Pakistani project from which we can make a variety of artillery systems in house, im also slightly disappointed we didn't have at least some tot for the SH-15 system, so we could continue making them at a slower pace in house

Jane reported 236 SH-15.

Where does the 400 number comes from?

The PA may be after the Turkish FIRTINA 2 with indigenous hybrid engine to reduce thermal signature and transmission (ASELSAN + BMC Power) to counter the IA's equivalent SPGs. Once finalized they may go for local mass production. The Turkish artillery + UAV combo is taking the air out of the PKK/YPG terrorists in the Northern Iraq & Syria.....
