As China Unleashes 80,000-Ton Fujian, India’s Ex-Naval Chief Wants France’s Help To Construct Nuke-Powered Aircraft Carrier

Bugger even had to import the insulation for their aircraft carrier boilers from China. I was like wtf, really? If you tear down their indigenous weapons, I can bet you a 1000$ it has all sorts of foreign components. Sanctions made us strong, while India with no sanctions is like that sponfed obese kid who can only walk on crutches.
They want performance right now, but it will tie them into global alliances.

Chinese products maybe lagging, but field testing will identify where China needs to improve.

Now take the following video from a known anti-China channel, ignore the political points and look at the some of the technical points he raises, these are potentially valid things to look into.

One aspect is the speed of Chinese ships. It’s something to I’ve heard American retired military commentators point out as a vital metric, and related to the shape of the bow. Another aspect is the electrical power limiting the performance of the radars. Improvements to the air defense missiles carried is also a valid point to look into, considering the threats increasing as well.

Obviously, China doing everything on its own will take time to catch up, but once its does, it will be independently comparable to any task force out there.

And the Indian with their progressive mindset. You do realise the world looks at your MIC as a joke right? You basically only do 'systems' engineering assembling imported parts. Most foreign arms maker love India because they know you guys will never learn from their tech and just import forever and get scammed in return. INDIA imports from everybody, making everybody happy and whatever project to 'indigenize' is essentially bullshit. The important thing in their mind is the kickback they will receive from these arms maker.
We already know about the quality of Chinese made defence items which China have exported to Pakistan. Like Main battle tanks and Artillery guns, JF-17 (Which is already grounded by Myanmar).

Algeria saw a number of accidents involving Chinese CH-4B UCAV drones. The first accident took place in 2013, second in March 9, 2014 and third in June 2020.

Jordan had purchased six of the same Chinese CH-4B UCAVs in 2016, but by June 2019, the country had decided to sell them off.

When Kenya bought Norinco VN-4 armoured personnel carriers, China’s sales representative declined to sit inside the vehicles during a test firing. Kenya went ahead in 2016 with the purchase anyway and dozens of Kenyan personnel have been reportedly killed in those vehicles.

Two Chinese 053H3 Frigates (BNS Umar Farooq and BNS Abu Ubaidah) arrived at Bangladesh in 2020, after experiencing multiple defects en route. This included a non-functioning navigation radar and gun system. The Chinese have asked for additional payment to repair the boats.

“Tayokeset tayet-soke” (“Chinese machine; broken in a day”) is a well known and frequently used phrase in Myanmar.

The low-grade Chinese firebricks used for boiler insulation on INS Vikramaditya were replaced by Russian-made components.

With an Indian turbofan engine!
India boasts several companies that excel in metallurgy. In the defense sector, Bharat Forge has contributed to the indigenization of artillery systems by producing high-quality metal components. They are the ones supplying 84 ATAGS and mounted guns to Armenia.

Recently, one of India's companies, PTC Industries, has won a contract to supply die casting parts for the Rafale.
Recently, our MIDHANI established the world's second-largest isothermal forging press.

We import anywhere from $2.5 to $4B in a year (varies year by year), so this mean we're close to being net-zero importers in monetary terms. Another 5-years of solid growth needed and we could reach the net-exporter status. What a change!

Wow, Indian is even more advanced that Soviets and Americans with their 'smokeless' propellant. Supapowa indeed. No wonder the range of their super duper missiles is so 'far'.
Let me share something: We're the second country in the world, after Japan, to have developed sophisticated Ku band and X band AESA seekers for A2A BVRAAM, SAMs, and cruise missiles.

India's industrial capacity is undergoing significant expansion. Adani has inaugurated a defense complex in Kanpur, capable of producing 5 million large and medium caliber ammunitions annually, according to the company's statement. The combined output of the Kalyani and Adani complexes can supply 600 artillery guns to the Indian Army each year. With the incorporation of OFB facilities, India is positioned among the top three countries in terms of artillery and ammunition manufacturing. We maintain optimism that the aerospace industry will attain comparable milestones within the next 10 to 15 years

uh huh, remember INSAS? Is going to, may, might, will, shall, I have heard these for the past 20 years.

Let me ask you this question, did they maintain it? i heard Pakistan is even sending training crews to train them how to maintain it properly. I don't doubt Pakistan Air Force's maintenance skills unlike flying coffin India.

We sold 100s of drones abroad. Saudi even has a factory dedicated to produce them. Our weapons are so bad that they are still buying more huh?

Jordan was forced by the US administration to sell off theirs.

So poor quality that they are buying more weapons from China right? Chinese manufactures for the world, you specify correctly, you get quality. India, I don;t even want to talk about it.

053H, do you even know how old those ships are? Remember how the Russians gave you a free carrier? LOL

Ask the South Americans on their Dhruvs. Do you know what is worse? Someone buying from China. LOOK AT YOUR IMPORTS....from drugs, to power plants, to port machineries, to machine tools, to cars. wake up bhai.
