BrahMos: Greek Experts Pitch Indo-Russian Supersonic Cruise Missile To Checkmate S-400 Armed Turkey

I have seen the map and it always shows me poor semi landlocked Turkiye with Greeks sitting on the islands max at 2 kms from Turkiye mainland..... and what are you blabbering about TF-2000, Anka 4 KAAN KIZILELMA..... let them first get operational and prove if they're really good as being marketed...... all I see today is Turkiye begging for F16s from USA and trying to get Typhoons..... something is tricky here......

Anyways lets not talk about future NG versions as well

I will talk to you on this once they're fully operational and are in significant numbers till then block 72, rafales will ensure a Turkey shoot of Turkiye airforce and Brahmos, harpoon, excocets will be enough to keep Turkish navy at its place.....
what part of "..from 2030 on.." is tripping you up?

what part of "..from 2030 on.." is tripping you up?
I prefer to leave in present..... future NG version may not even come or future Turkiye projects may go altay way..... today if Greece gets Brahmos in significant numbers then Turkiye will be in problem..... topic over

Open a map and zoom on Mediterranean and see the Turkish coast. Several long range radars on that humongous coast and one in Cyprus + TF2000s would make any non-stealth platforms look like a turkey shoot. That will be the reality even without adding KIzılelma, ANKA-4 and KAAN to the mix.

Only the Greek F35s could threaten this setup, not rafales or vipers.

LoL then why is Turkey paying precious 25B $ forex through nose for Viper upgrades.

I even heard that India today have more than 10k Brahmos in all 3 services combined but actual numbers can be higher and not shown as a part of secret policy..... not to mention new orders are placed for additional Brahmos and once NG version starts showing up another batch of orders will be placed...... I can assume us to have at least 40k plus Brahmos in next few years......

We don't have 14000 or 10000 brahmos

In 2018 , MOD stated that Indian army had 5 brahmos regiment comprising 65-67 missiles each, while Indian Navy had 200 Brahmos missiles

In 2016, IAF had ordered 200 Air launched Brahmos for 42 Su30MKI

Even if we take into account inductions that happened over Last 6 years

Indian Army inducting 3 regiment of block 3 brahmos with 450km range , thats 200 missiles

Indian Navy inducting 120 brahmos block 3

And IAF inducting 200 Airlaunched brahmos with 400km range

That leave a combined ARMY NAVY IAF stockpile of 1050+ Brahmos

With pending orders being for 400 Brahmos Block 4 with 800km range for army and Navy and another 400 Brahmos NG for IAF

The excuse they give us we have source code of only few f16 only those can be upgraded and rest of the f16s need Americans block 70 upgrades..
But I don't get it how if you're upgrading mission computer too of you're f16s then how did you need sources codes of fighter to upgrade there EW, WEAPONS all ext etc turkey is doing in ozghur upgrade.. this is just a excuse the ozghur upgrade is enough or capable enough.. that's why they are going for block 70 upgrade..
Or simply they are bowing down to the OEM..

Because you don't know how it works. It is not only source codes but also they purchased the right modify those jets earlier. This why they were also able to fire indeginous BVR from one of those block 40 with American mission computer. And they are now replacing all the avionics altogether.

However, with later block 50s they don't have the same rights. And can't install their own mission computers.

Recently, a large order of BrahMos ER(800+km kill range) has been placed for Indian Navy.

Okay thanks for information mate however I thought like that because we dont need such rights on su30 we can add French mica on it or even Israeli sar radars anything we want...

No, because Block 70 is generational leap, where they have changed the databus from 1553 to Ethernet. And Turkiye incapable to develop such subsystems, and upgrade the databus, especially for radar, MC and display generators for F-16s.

the same reason why the US still keeps them. Operating stealth is very costly and not suitable for every mission.

+ We're not paying $25 billions. That number is quoted for maximum amount of items at their max price point for offset deals so that we won't have to revisit the congress after a deal is reached.

The thing with congressional approve is that if, say, you send a bill worth $10billions to congress. they approve and you start negotiations with the OEM and end up with 11 billions worth of goods with extensive local production deal. Then you have to prepare another bill and get the aproval for. However, if you keep the price steep at the beginning(the congressional bill), even if you end up ordering much more equipment, you won't have to revisit the congress. It's between you and the OEM. So it doesn't matter if the bill approved by congress is $20 billions or $100 billions. You don't have buy that amound and at that price point. The number is bloated to give more room for the negotiations, nothing more. It doesn't represent the true prices of the items
