United Nations see Kashmir as disputed territory.

Hence Kashmiris are not Indian.

UN did not see East Pakistan as disputed territory, yet they are an independent nation now.

So it does not matter what United nations sees or not sees.

It matters on how strong you are in holding what you see as rightfully your's.

Pakistan still has other Muslim countries to back it up, China, United Nations, and OIC.

In 1860s, 11 confederate US states wanted to break away from 20 Union states and form their own country and they had every right to it as US was founded as confederation with each state agreeing to become part of the union of their own accord.

20 Union states fought against the armies of 11 confdreate state for 4 years, about Seven hundred thounsand soldiers lost their lives in that war, but the US was not allowed to break.

So in the end it does not matter who is right or who is wrong, all that matters is that who is more powerful.
