BYD, a leading new energy vehicle manufacturer, is set to officially showcase its cars in Pakistan on August 17, facilitated by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). The company has partnered with Mega Motors Private Limited, a subsidiary of Hub Power Company, for this venture.

The strategic partnership between the companies was formally announced in March 2024. This initiative aims to introduce a wide range of electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles in Pakistan.

BYD has established itself as a prominent player in new energy vehicle production, becoming the world's top seller in this category in 2023, surpassing global competitors.

The SIFC considers reducing environmental pollution a key priority. This environmentally friendly initiative is expected to introduce new technology to Pakistan's automotive landscape.

The promotion of electric vehicles is seen as crucial for establishing a safe and stable Pakistan. This move aligns with SIFC's efforts to facilitate investments in eco-friendly technologies.

With the electricity prices Pakistan has - how are electric vehicles gonna get charged? @ziaulislam @PakFactor @ghazi52
Beaucrats judges and military gets free electricity

So that's not a problem

Basically Pakistan 40% energy comes from free source rivers..if tomorrow we can't import fuel we can still feed the elite and their high performance electric cars

Pakistan 60% energy(ipps) that comes from fossils(now even hydro ipp at ridiculous prices) is basically a scam to make military beuacrats and their handler rich nothing else

We have other 'leaders' who indulge in clearly mushrik activities (sajda at the grave of some baba). Here we see a lesser evil.

Data Darbar, afterward, the bhuka harami went for the biryani being distributed.
