China ‘Soon to Be World’s Largest Air Force’

And Canada is not USA. You should know that by now. Every nation looks after their own INTERESTS FIRST. Even USA's allies. You think USA's allies love USA more than their own selves.
Yes,but it's part of the USA-Britain alliance :P

It's also worth notice that these are the aircraft that are in active service.

Congress have made funding available for 309th group to maintain at least 20% of their stock in Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, which mean at least 20% of those aircraft (mostly F-16, F-15 and A-10) and engine can be brought back to service when needed, and that number IIRC can be up to 50-55% if needed to be and funding was approved. Bear in mind there are currently over 4000 airframes with 309th group.

Read it somewhere that US can reactivate roughly 200 F-16 from that base (with IRR pilot to go with) in 3 months to boost the number.
And what we must talk about here,is the difference in quality.

As we saw,a significant part of the PLAAF's inventory are chinese versions of Soviet aircraft or actual Soviet and modern Russian aircraft. Specifically Mig-21,Su-27,Su-30 etc.

However, the US Air Force and US Navy operate some of the most well-known aircraft in history with some of the best combat records. For example the F-15 Eagle and F-15 Strike Eagle, the F-16 and the F/A-18 Hornet and Super Hornet. Let alone a considerable number of F-22s and let's put aside the F-35,having to go against the various versions of F-16s and F-15s,coupled with Growlers that is a tough mission even for the Chinese Air Force.

No doubt the PLAAF has some pretty good pilots and dedicated personnel, but overall I believe they cannot match the level of training and experience the USAF and USN have.

My brother was a Marine flier, he told me that the US have probably the most unique way to retain Fighter Pilot.

Once a person was discharged, they weren't gone, they were put into an individual reserve group that you can call back up into service (we call that stop-loss in the Army) and if a person is willing to do, they can be kept on Civil Air Patrol to either retain their skill or teaches the cadet. While most Air Force pilot from other countries will just fark off to civilian aviation once their association with their airforce was done.

On the other hand, US process quite a lot of supportive aircraft (The E-Series aircraft) that is unmatched by any air force, and they are there to make the battle harder for their enemy.

lol, we learned it 70 years ago.

Why don’t you ask the South Koreans who won that war? 🤣

Who prevented communism from overtaking South Korea? South Korea is prosperous democracy today due to US intervention.

China suffered hundreds of thousands of casualties for a rogue, impoverished, and isolated nation today.

The US came out strategically ahead

You actually believe the US and the UN in general....lost that war? Do they tell you in the PRC that you actually won that war? Is that what they teach you?

USA basically managed to save South Korea by holding the perimeter around Busan until more reinforcements arrived. Then the UN forces gathered and marched north. It was only because the Chinese sent some 900,000 men that they managed to push the UN forces back to the middle of the country and have a kind of stalemate. They actually believe they won that war? But I won't be surprised, the North Koreans tell their people they "defeated USA"...

China started at the Yalu border river and ended half way through Korea, if that was not a win I don't know what is.

The target was to take all of Korea. What you did was manage to push the UN forces back to the middle and failed to continue southwards along with North Koreans and Soviet air help.

The US saved South Korea from the Kims. South Koreas prosperity is a victory for the US. The Kim’s and North Korea are a stain on the planet.

That's the business between you and south and north Korea, China didn't mean to get involved in the first place if you guys hadn't pushed too close to the China border and even shelled Chinese villages on the Chinese side of the Yalu River.

USA maintains a massive , retired jet fleet compromising of F15/F16 and many older bomber , including stealth planes from 1990 gulf war.

The number of Fighter Jets parked in desert 90% of them are airworthy after minor tune up

This parked force is the world second larges airforce after USA's main force

Let that sink in

No, Chinas aim was to bring the entire Korean Peninsula under Communist control.

You failed, with hundreds of thousands of dead Chinese in your wake. We saved the South and brought it to prosperity. You gave us the Kims.

Who came out strategically ahead again?

I think it is fair to say that China is matching USA at Pacific Sea Level only

USA's extensive Reserve stored in Deserts in USA are quite large as well
Not to mention the air-force stationed locally in USA

China has improved 1000% from 1999 , the airforce no doubt is becoming strong as US airforce @ regional level

  • J20 (Stealth)
  • J16
  • J10

But the number of planes is still highly in favor of USA , In my opinion

USA's grand strategy in Pacific is to use 3 Asian Air-forces to contain China
  • Japanese Airforce
  • Korean Airforce
  • Tiwanese airforce (Building up this with F16's)

USA does not wants a direct confrontation with China , but instead it has setup Proxies like Ukraine was setup to deal with Russia
