@NGAD IS THE BEST

Taking China's population into account, China needs at least 10 aircraft carriers, not including light carriers like Type 075 and Type 076.

Latest news:
Recently, a Douyin blogger obtained official authorization to visit Jiangnan Shipyard in depth. The video was publicly played on the Douyin platform today.
Since there is no suitable upload platform, I cannot provide the video. Interested friends please find the video by yourself.

One of the details.
When the camera scans a certain area, the video is mosaiced. The voice clearly mentioned that aircraft carriers and warships are being built in this area, and filming is prohibited.

Since this visit is fully authorized by the official, and there is also an official account confirmation in the comment area.
Therefore, we can regard this as an official confirmation that Jiangnan Shipyard is building an aircraft carrier!

I don't mean to ruin the hype here but Fujian is still in dock right now and has been since April 24th, so most likely he was referring to Fujian and not another new carrier

Really? ... I agree with @Tomboy he most likely meant the Fujian sitting in the fitting-out basin right now.

I agree with this analysis.

I've been busy lately and haven't had enough time to verify the real location of the blurred area in the video at the Jiangnan shipyard. If any of you are interested, you can verify this analysis.

@Deino The video, the voice, it's all real. The video does have official CSSC certification as well. But by “aircraft carrier” does he mean the Fujian ship or the next aircraft carrier? The video doesn't say, so I'm guessing. If you are interested, you can verify the true location of the blurred area in the video.

@Michael continuing here -

Is there any update on the AEW component of these aircraft carriers?

There are some photos of the KJ-600 test flight recently. And the latest J-35 naval version has been officially announced.
But there are not many confirmed details to be released at present. There are many analytical articles on Chinese social media, but few credible contents.

The term “歼-35舰载机(J-35 carrier-based aircraft)” in Chinese official news reports.

An update from the carrier test-site at Wuhan, and I must admit, I‘m confused and the the more I see the more I am!

What we see right now is not an island of a CVN but clearly (?) from a conventional CV, but this design and location contradicts at least my understanding!
