Chinese SAC - FC-31/J-35 5th Gen Stealth Aircraft

Guys, can you please stick to the topic?
Ok.

Back to the J-35, any news of both the Air Force version and the Naval version will be shown at Zhuhai, or just an export oriented J-35AE?

Only air force version at zhuhai airshow I think

So the J-35N will come into service on the Type-003 carrier circa 2026 when the aircraft carrier itself is commissioned. (y)

It was blatantly obvious that China would want to put at least 1 squadron of J-35N on the Fujian as a symbolic symbol of PLAN catching up and even exceeding USN carrier aviation.

If the WS-19 engine was flight tested on the J-35 in early 2024, then late 2026 service is entirely realistic as the J-35N is a dual engine plane and China now has massive experience in building turbofan engines(WS-10/WS-13/WS-15).

There is no J-35N ... from what we see until today the regular naval variant for the Fujian is the J-35 and the land-based one (see above) is most likely designated J-35A!

Ok my bad.

I read mistakenly that there would be 3 versions - J-35A for PLAAF, J-35N for PLAN and J-35AE for export.

Whatever the exact designation is, it does not matter as this brilliant fighter will soon be flying off from PLAN carriers and then soon be made available for export.

US restrictions on who has access to stealth technology will soon be over for good.

No problem and no need to apologise. the point is only to be correct since otherwise the usual fan-boys again claim "we'll soon see it in Pakistan" only since they mix and confuse each and every type or even prototype.

Otherwise, yes there are two variants - J-35 (catapult capable naval type) & J-35A (landbased one) - and as such "MAYBE" also a J-35AE, but so far this all is unconfirmed.

The standardisation of the both the product and the name to J-35 is good from a marketing perspective for export sales, as it can go up against the F-35 on a like for like.

Looking forward to some nice new clean pictures of the J-35 now that it feels like it is getting closer to primetime.

Hope we can see some cockpit pictures some time soon ( not expecting them at this airshows). Given that this is mean to be an export product aswell, i hope China is not as shy with the cockpit piccies as we have seen with the J-20.

Exceeding USN carrier aviation by putting one squadron of J35 on Fujian? Now that's funny.

1, WS19 is currently only equipped with J35A (PLAAF version), WS19 currently has no naval version. The naval version of the J35 uses the WS21 engine.

2, the official disclosure of the J35 has a total of 4 versions, has been exposed 3 versions, there is a version is currently in an unknown state. Export version of the J35 (WS21), PLAAF version of the J35A (WS19), PLAN version of the J35x (WS21, code suffix unknown)

The official social media account of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) News Media Center on Monday released a photo, hinting that China's long-anticipated J-35 stealth fighter jet might debut at the upcoming Airshow China 2024.

China Bulge, the official media account of the PLA's News Media Center, on Monday released the post titled "Super spoilers! Is the J-35 officially announced?" accompanied by a photo showing the vertical tail of an aircraft marked with the number "75."

"Is this an official image of the new aircraft?! Is it the J-35 that netizens have been eagerly anticipating? Do not rush, we will see you in Zhuhai in 3+5 days," China Bulge said.

The Airshow China 2024 is scheduled to be held from November 12 to 17 in Zhuhai, South China's Guangdong Province.

While the post is short, it contained significant information, as it is the first time the long-anticipated J-35 has appeared on an official media platform.

Chinese military expert Zhang Xuefeng told the Global Times on Monday that while the post used the question marks, given the authority and reliability of the official media, this post indeed serves as a "spoiler" about the J-35, confirming the existence of this aircraft type.

Judging from the vertical tail's shape, it is very likely to be a stealth fighter jet, Zhang said after viewing the photo.

"The photo also displayed the number '75' painted on the fighter jet's vertical tail. This year marks the 75th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China, and November 11 also marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the PLA Air Force, indicating that this number represents the PLA Air Force's 75 years of glorious history from November 11, 1949," Zhang said.

The debut of the new warplane highlights the continuous development of the PLA Air Force over the past 75 years, particularly in terms of equipment development, Zhang said.

Dear, Could 4th versions be a trainer or what? Any Idea? Any Guess?
