Chinese SAC - FC-31/J-35 5th Gen Stealth Aircraft

Dear, Could 4th versions be a trainer or what? Any Idea? Any Guess?
There are two main speculations about the 4th version :
1. STOVL version. Recently there are a lot of leaked news about SAC's STOVL technology patent in Chinese social media.
2. A two-seat version similar to the J20S. This is the latest tactic unique to PLAAF, and it has a high probability of being extended to PLAN. the J35 Navy version is the best platform.
But, these are all rumors and analyses without any actual evidence at this time.

My analysis:
As things stand now, the possibility of STOVL is almost non-existent. the WS21 is not powerful enough to develop a STOVL version of the J35. my information from special sources suggests that the WS19 is not currently being developed in a STOVL version, and it is not known if it will be developed in the future in a STOVL version.
These are the only two medium thrust engines currently available. the WS10C and WS15 are high thrust engines, and if used in a J35 airframe, it would amount to a complete redesign, and it would no longer be part of the J35 family.
So version 4 of the J35 would be the second one.

Obviously Guesses and rumors comes first. Sometimes they are right and often they are wrong but that's how things move on. 😇

My guess is two seat varient as need for STOVL is not much for China in my view.

1, WS19 is currently only equipped with J35A (PLAAF version), WS19 currently has no naval version. The naval version of the J35 uses the WS21 engine.

Does this mean the Ws19 engine is a success and after more testing will enter mass production, especially when the J35 are ready for induction. Ws19 is a good engine but still has less performance than Usa F35 engine.

There is no J-35N ... from what we see until today the regular naval variant for the Fujian is the J-35 and the land-based one (see above) is most likely designated J-35A!

What people mean by J35N is to point out the Navy version of J35, even though it maybe not be the correct name but it's a good way to differentiate between the J35 air version and Navy version.

No, or very much unlikely … how do you fit two lift fans into a fuselage fed by two separate engines? IMO if there is indeed a new VSTOL type under development it won‘t be a J-35-variant.
Question is why?
Whats the utilty?
F-35B is replacing the harrier which formed a core part of doctrine for multiple NATO forces especially those with smaller assault ships or carriers.

Does that hold true for China?

I think you may be right. But no solution other than two lift fans? What about one lift fan?
I understand the technical difficulty that J-35 STOVL variant has to synchronize 2 engines.

A fluid torque converter may mitigate this issue, I guess.

J35 represents another leap forward in China's military manufacturing industry and is a milestone for China's aviation industry. Ten years ago, the J20 was introduced for the development of fifth generation machines, while the J35, starting from its engineering structure, was designed and manufactured according to the standards of fifth generation machines from the inside out. Its starting point was a standard fifth generation machine

Fake news

I don't know much else about the situation. However, the J35A (WS19/PLAAF self use version) had its first flight done in January of this year. This is 100% certain.

Will the first flight of the J35A Air Force version use the WS19? Is it so bold? I thought we would use WS21 for the first fligh, According to your statement, is the J35A equipped with WS19 this time??? I am looking forward to the Zhuhai Airshow

I don't think J35 will have a good range. It's kind of similar to the dimensions of the F35 but has two engines. So where will it carry fuel for higher ranges
