Chinese SAC - FC-31/J-35 5th Gen Stealth Aircraft

It's really funny ... Yes, I'm tough when it comes to facts, perhaps brutal—some would say arrogant—to those who boast, lie, spread fake news, and, above all, denigrate others regardless of their origins.

And now you have a strange German here who's obsessed with numbers and data, who, in typical German fashion, doesn't take much pleasure in such things, and a whole bunch of fanboys who've been spreading all sorts of BS, boasting, and lying for years, but I'm the bad guy?!

And we have someone like MK, an arrogant old man, bitter, frustrated, at the end of his days, perhaps even sick, who's fine with anything, any means of lying, twisting the facts, deception and fraud, slander, and breaking promises, as long as his worldview looks good. He doesn't even care that the JF-17 doesn't have an Italian engine, isn't AMRAAM-compatible, doesn't have fuel tanks in the cockpit side walls as he claimed thru the years ... that you won't get a J-35 in August, that it won't be a Pakistani special version in the style of the F/A-18 – he spread all of this either just to spread lies or because he's actually too stupid to recognize a J-10 – but instead of admitting a mistake for once, perhaps even apologizing for inappropriate tone and lies, nothing... and his fan community like you follow their guru no matter how stupid, deluded, or deceitful what he says is, because he's "one of you" and I'm just an evil German.

As I said, some of you are really funny... even if such behavior is actually just embarrassing and pathetic!

Honestly, this whining about "Pakistan wants J-20 now" is just as embarrassing and pathetic as a three-year-old crying at the supermarket checkout because he doesn't get another lollipop from his mom, and the lady at the checkout (my role in this case) is definitely the bad guy because she's telling the little guy that things just won't go his way.

Don't sell yourself short bro , we cherish your inputs and occasional witty posts.

just 20? this plant alone could accommodate a hundred and there are more building on the side, the question is, what is the number of order.
Regarding the planned production of the J-35 series fighters, it is unlikely that there will be clear news at present.

According to information from other channels, My analysis is:
The maximum production capacity that the PLA's J-35 series fighters (naval version and air force version) can support does not exceed 240 aircraft/year.
The maximum production capacity that the FC-31/J-35 foreign trade version can support does not exceed 48 aircraft/year.
This is the current theoretical limit. That is, the maximum number that the relevant industrial chain planning can support is not the actual production volume. If the relevant industrial chain increases the relevant planned production capacity, the number will continue to rise.

Those are huge numbers anyway you cut them...that means in two years you will have more stealth fighters than the rest of the world put together.

This is INSANE. If combined with J-20 and J-16 production, China will be essentially churning out more fighters then the size of the entire PAF every year....

This is a theoretical limit value estimated based on the current relevant production plan, not the actual production capacity. Please do not over-interpret it.

Though I think 240 aircraft/year is too much, at the same time I heard from different podcasts and some Weibo chichat, our armed forces have a big appetite and are ambitious, they do not consider fifth gen like some kind of golden egg, so we can definitely expect some big number.

A first brief analysis ... J-35 vs J-35A in details! Most obvious at first sight:

- the engines or at least exhaust nozzles are totally different (@Michael and info?)
- both now use the same smaller rudder (unlike seen on naval prototypes)
- both have different luneburg lenses

Does rhe naval version uses the more powerful WS-19, whereas the airforce variant uses the WS-21 ?

The J-35 naval version only has the WS-21 engine.
The J-35A air force version has two different engines, the WS-21 and the WS-19.

How to distinguish them?

Strawman journalism: First, create a outlandish rumor and then treat it as a fact. Second, deny the rumor and then call it a "setback".

With the 6th generation aircraft prototypes already flying, does it make sense to procure more 5th generation designs in large numbers rather than going to 6th generation?

I'm unsure on how the intended force structure is meant to be, but wouldn't that make more sense?

@Deino @Michael

Is it ready for mass production? No. So what are they supposed to do in the meantime? Buy fewer 5th gens and save the money for 6th gen platforms? You fight wars with what you currently have not what you might get in the future.
