Muawiya, TTP HVT Commander, Arrested; 7 Terrorists Nabbed in CT operations across Punjab
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested seven terrorists during a significant intelligence-based operation conducted across various cities of Punjab.
Those arrested included Muawiya, commander of the Banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
The security personnel also recovered explosives, hand grenades, and weapons from the arrested individuals.
The operation specifically targeted Bahawalpur, where Muawiya, a high-profile figure within the banned organization, was captured by CTD officials.
This week alone, a total of 935 combing operations were conducted, resulting in the arrest of 48 suspects.
Over 36,000 individuals were questioned during these operations.
The arrests and recovery of weapons are indicative of ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to combat terrorism and ensure the safety of citizens.
