Karachi: Major terrorist plot foiled by timely action of intelligence agencies
Following information provided by Marghoob, CTD conducted an operation in the Shah Latif Town area of Karachi, as a result of which a major terrorist plan was successfully foiled.
There was intense exchange of fire between CTD personnel and the terrorists in the area. All four terrorists who were injured during the operation later succumbed to their injuries and were killed.
The killed terrorists have been identified as Jalil alias Farid, Niaz alias King and Hamdan alias Farid, while the identification process of the fourth terrorist is still ongoing.
Earlier this year in early January, CTD had recovered approximately 2,000 kilograms of explosive material and arrested three terrorists. The operation in Shah Latif Town was carried out on the basis of information obtained from these arrested suspects.
The arrested terrorists are said to be linked to the Fitna-e-Hindustan Bashir Zaib network. Two police personnel were also injured during the intense exchange of fire.
This successful operation is a testament to the coordinated and effective strategy of intelligence and law enforcement agencies, through which a large-scale terrorism attempt was foiled and the lives and property of the public were successfully protected.
This is the second major terrorist plot that has been foiled in Karachi, which is good. From the looks of it if the terrorists load all that on a truck it could've been devastating and would've killed hundreds, but thank god a disaster averted.

People my friend, its all about the people, lots of informants around Karachi who pass intel to Intelligence agencies, because people don't want terrorism in their cities, unfortunately we can't say the same for many cities in Pakistan where Terrorism thrives and spread its web and fully embedded in the social fabric.nasty stuff! Police needs more than informants to fight against this
