They must have thought the people were pretty stupid or afraid because of the rate the pandemic spread globally. Thus, it gave them and opportunity to push the what are really inoculations as vaccinations. Dopey Joe himself said if you got the shot you wouldn't get covid. I laughed my ass off when he did.

In a large part, it was because China hyped SARS CoV 2 by locking people in their homes. In the 2009 swine flu pandemic which I'm old enough to remember, nobody cares about it and it only lasted a year before WHO called it off. If the pandemic started in the US instead of China nobody would have batted an eye. And don't forget, it was the Democrat controlled states that mandated covid vaccines. The Republican controlled states never did.
