Major Construction Milestone Achieved at Diamer Bhasha Dam 🇵🇰

According to the latest update from the project spokesperson, significant progress has been made in the construction of the Diamer Bhasha Dam—a landmark infrastructure project for Pakistan.

The Frontier Works Organization (FWO) has successfully completed the excavation of 2.5 million cubic meters from the left abutment, which stands at 185 meters high and 120 meters wide.

🛠️ Foundation and Right Abutment Progressing Rapidly
Excavation is actively underway at the main dam foundation.
61% of excavation on the right abutment has been completed.
The dam foundation excavation is expected to be completed very soon. Construction is ongoing day and night across 17 active sites, highlighting the project's fast pace and national importance.

🏗️ Key Project Features:

🌍 World’s largest Roller-Compacted Concrete (RCC) dam
🏔️ Height: 272 meters
💧 Storage Capacity: 8.1 million acre-feet
🌾 Irrigation Potential: 1.23 million acres
⚡ Power Generation: 4,500 MW
🔌 Annual Output: 18 billion units of clean, low-cost

Hydropower
Diamer Bhasha Dam is not only a feat of engineering but also a crucial step towards energy security, water conservation, and agricultural growth in Pakistan.
