During the United Nations General Assembly, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Dr Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser of Bangladesh’s Interim Government.

As per the Chief Adviser's schedule, a bilateral meeting with Pakistan's Prime Minister is set to take place on Wednesday at 10:30 am local time in New York, according to local media outlets report.

Earlier that day, Dr Muhammad Yunus met with US President Joe Biden, who reaffirmed his full support for the government of Bangladesh during their discussions.

Additionally, the Chief Adviser met with several heads of state and leaders of various organisations, including Canadian PM Justin Trudeau.

For discussion - Reading between the lines - first a large arms consignment ordered from Pakistan, Pakistani ambassador meeting with CG of Bangladesh and then this meet with Pakistan PM. Is this an open signal to India that there is a complete realignment in Bangladeshi Foreign policy?

Pakistan is planning to provide nuclear unbrella to Bangladesh.

Bangladesh will host Pakistan's nuclear tipped missiles.

US is planning to declare India as a terrorist state

Indian NSA did not travel to the US with the Indian PM for fear of getting detained in the US.

First thing first, both countries need to increase the negligible trade between them.

Instead of one politician/general befriending another or angering another for few years, it's better to focus on people to people relations/trade which itself will pave the way for more permanent and stable bilateral relations.

Let's not forget, even the 71 war wasn't between the people of east and West Pakistan but greed of our leaders, almost all of whom were not elected let alone being representative of said people.

This is why the recent plan to grant scholarships in Pakistan to Bengalis is a good initiative. Educational exchanges, sports matches, Tourism, intellectual seminars, things like these serve as better building blocks for bilateral relations than Arms, ammunition, jadu ki jahppi, temporary alliances, which are mostly deals between states/politicians. Case in point, Hasina's Bangaldesh and it's alliance with India. Melted as ice in a desert. What survived is actual relations between India and Bangladesh, trade education exchanges etc. as I mentioned above.

No need to include USA they have backstabbed too many countries too many times .

BD-Pakistan need to start the process of normalising relations and building a relationship based on mutual trust and respect.

Neither country may be doing particularly well right now but better times may be round the corner and both need to have a firm understanding with each other in order to build wider alliance with the rest of the Muslim world in due course.

One is backed by the people to lead, other is rejected by the people but only in power because of the boots. One is all smiles, other looks miserable (maybe thinking about the protest he will face in America). Its a shame that this very welcoming change in BD came at the time when IK is in jail, I have no doubt he would have grabbed this once in life time opportunity with both hands.
