Since January 2025, the Egyptian Ministry of Military Production has entered into negotiations with the South Korean Hanwha Aerospace Hanwha Aerospace on the K239 Chunmoo system, which includes a clause for local technology transport (TOT).
By June 2025, the talks continued successfully, as reports indicate that it reached an advanced stage with the expectation of the agreement soon.

They wouldn’t get very far considering the GIS is the Egyptian mirror of the American cia. Iran overfunded their proxies to the point of neglecting their industries and even their security apparatus. They could’ve possibly countered them hadn’t they been so stuck on giving Hezbollah and Houthis too many resources and instead just focus on themselves

On April 12, 2025, a strategic partnership agreement was signed between Egypt and Indonesia, including areas of cooperation in the military field.
