Egyptian Armed Forces

Looks likely we are beginning to replace TOW missiles with Korean ones. If Turkey is smart (ofc they are hahaha), they should enter the competition with KARAOK or OMTAS Fire&Forget ATGMs

The Americans have been talking since the 1980s. Egypt has a forest of missiles
Old systems developed by SWING FIRE were produced from 1979 until 1993.
AT-3 / HJ-73 produced at a rate of 200 missiles per month. Production was stopped and replaced by the HJ-8 / HJ-11 missile.
Next to the KORNET AT-14 missile
The MILAN missile was obtained in two batches, the first of 4,150 missiles and the other in 2001. It replaced the HJ-12E and AT-1K missiles.
HOT missile: 3,000 missiles were obtained to complement the HJ-8 missile

The TOW missile is believed to have been obtained by Egypt with 30,000. It replaced the SWING FIRE missile in the production lines and will be replaced by another missile. The Korean TAipers believes that Korea obtained its technology from the Israeli SPIKE missile.
Egypt obtains anti-tank missiles from all available global sources
Old missiles are used for other missions after they were developed by SWING FIRE/HJ-73/MILAN as light artillery.
VIKHR missiles enter into successive deals

The KA-52 will be equipped with all Russian HERMS/Izdeliye 305 missiles
There are new generations of anti-tank missiles with ranges of 25-40-70 kilometers, Chinese and Serbian.

The Turks are displaying their missiles, and perhaps Egypt will respond with a push only if the theater of operations with Israel becomes heated.

Currently, interest has shifted from anti-tank missiles to suicide drones

Yes! This ^! Take that, Sami! lol :D

Bastion-P & CM-302 are coastal defense systems and the Russians have tremendous development in this field of missiles.
The P-800 Oniks increased the range from 300 to 900 kilometers by using only improved fuel. The same applies to the CM-302 system, with a range of up to 560 kilometers.
In addition, these systems are less expensive than the Indian system and have been in service for years because they were replaced by 3 old systems in service: P-15M, HY-2, and HY-4.
Egypt was using 300 of these missiles as coastal defense batteries
The process of replacing weapons takes place periodically, regardless of the fact that the systems’ operation is extended, but they can be employed in other tasks, whether sinking a missile or using them in ground-to-surface missions, and the same applies to the old systems.

In case the Egyptian Navy is interested in the BrahMos missile
It is normal for the Armed Forces or the Command of the Naval Forces to have little work of reason required

Untitled32132132132132132321.jpg

BrahMos is technically a ramjet-powered supersonic cruise missile with a solid propellant booster that can be launched from land-based canisters, submarines, ships, and aircraft. It travels at speeds of Mach 2.8 to 3.0 but is being upgraded to travel faster than Mach 5.0. for the hypersonic variant.

One of its special features is its ability to fly extremely close to the ground to avoid missile defense systems. In fact, during the terminal phase, the missile can fly as low as 10 meters to the ground.

In the coming days, ambassadors between Tel Aviv and Cairo may be withdrawn and relations may be severed.
And you have this, too. It's all over the news in Egypt, too.

Interesting setup on an EAF F-16D blk 40.

There is another possibility to use the Sparrow..that we didn't mention or thought about before..Since the EAF F-16s are linked to the Awacs.. maybe after launch the missile can be directed/guided by the E-2C who is safe from The Aim-120 .. not by the F-16 radar.. What about that?

I'm not sure if the current EAF E-2C's radar – the AN/APS-145 - has that capability, to guide missiles to their targets which might be one of the many reasons the EAF has requested the D upgrade. The E-2D on the other hand with the new APY-9 radar does have the ability to guide other aircraft's missiles. The current EAF E-2Cs -- while very capable -- are the 2000 Cs, and could use the D upgrade, especially with all the new aircraft in the EAF.

From the E-2D source:

Most incredibly, the new radar – the APY-9 – is actually capable of detecting fighter-sized stealth aircraft such as the Su-57 and some of the newer Chinese fighter types. The E-2D can directly contribute in combat by guiding other aircrafts’ missiles.

It would also be good to learn more details on the new RICS-3 C5I systems network and if they've adapted anything of the sort, considering how efficient & fast it is using & giving info to the Hawkeyes & fighters.

Bingo..The EAF needs the E-2D presto..

As always inferior technology to Egypt ..... ( S.Korean AT-1K )
S.Korean technology is a toy to match with Israeli SPIKE missile family
Egypt needs long range anti-Tank missiles against Israel

Turkiye and Israel have the most advanced anti-Tank weapons in the world

S.Korea and France dont have similar anti-Tank weapons to Turkish OMTAS-UMTAS family and Israeli SPIKE family

-- KARAOK shoulder launched anti-Tank Missile
-- OMTAS man portable anti-Tank Missile
-- L-UMTAS and UMTAS-IIR anti-Tank Missiles for Attack Helicopters
-- UMTAS-GM Block2 anti-Tank Missiles for Attack Helicopters also land platforms

-- L-UMTAS GM and UMTAS-GM IIR anti-Tank Missiles for land platforms

with range of 2-4-8-16-20-32-50 km

Turkiye should stop asking Countries to buy superior Turkish Weapons
We should sell superior weapons if countries pay high price and good money

@The SC , probably should move a bunch of the recent slightly off-topic posts in the last 3 or 4 pages about the border tensions and all that to Sami's thread on the Possible Ways to Initiate War and reel this thread back on topic.

That seems to be the closest thread related to the border issues and the zionists or even start a new thread on the Gaza/Egypt border tensions. Need to get this thread back to the real nitty gritty items about the EAF only.

That is quite the job, to take an old M60, custom fabricate a bunch of metal plates, weld them onto it and make a rather impressively accurate looking merkava.

F-16s part of the EAF's Tactical Weapons School distinguished by the orange-less F-16 block 52s. Whenever one sees the F-16s without any of the orange day-glow markings, those are the weapons training squadron which also participate in special missions.

In this case, 3 of them flying with a 4th F-16C blk 52 also during a munition training exercise flight using GBU-16 laser-guided bombs.

And this is an interesting picture with a rarely seen F-16D blk 52 (one of only 4) carrying AIM-7s & AIM-9s. You rarely see the blk-52Ds in A2A configuration.

I can't find the Egyptian patch for the blk-52s Weapons School. I used to have it but it's since disappeared. Anyone has it pls post it. Cheers.

Why do you insist on explaining to us that your intelligence level is low and indicating your lack of understanding?

The AT-1K is compared to the Turkish Karaok missile, and the Korean missile has a longer range
As for the unfortunate Turkish OMTAS, his weight is very heavy
Turkish technology cannot be compared to Korean technology, as Turkey itself is a customer of Korean products, the most famous of which is the Turkish ALTAY version of the South Korean tank.
Korea produces the Teipers missile, which is equivalent to the Turkish UMATS missile
The Korean is distinguished from the unfortunate Turkish in that it has a lower weight and a range of 10 kilometers, not 8 as was announced in the initial version of the Korean missile, and the weight is a big difference because the platforms are carried by a larger number of missiles.
You do not know that Egypt is the largest international customer for the Chinese HJ-12E missile

HJ-12E / Red Arrow-12E - Export

According to the official WeChat account of China North Industries Co., Ltd. in 2020, the Red Arrow-12E, an individual portable anti-tank missile, "overcame the impact of the 'new coronavirus' pneumonia epidemic" and successfully completed the delivery task to a buyer in a certain country. First of all, it needs to be emphasized that although according to the description on the WeChat account of North Industries, this business has already reached the stage of paying first and delivering the goods, which can be regarded as really "completed", but this mysterious "buyer" in the end was still a matter of opinion. But this is not surprising. After all, China's military trade contracts, especially those for tactical weapons, have always been kept secret from the outside world. There were two main directions for speculation as to the buyer of this big business. The first is the Royal Thai Army, and the second is the Egyptian Army.

https://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/china/hj-12e.htm

It was announced that Egypt had obtained an initial batch of the Akeron MP missile for the naval special forces, but the deal obtained by the Egyptian ground forces was not announced.

And your limited intelligence compares the production of a number of Turkish products to Korean producers
Which Korea focuses only on their production
It opens the way for criticism and claims of imaginary Turkish superiority
First, we did not see success with Turkish missiles against tanks, while Chinese and other products have proven their operational success

And you are ignorant of many things. Since 2018, Egypt has possessed a series of Chinese missiles with ranges of 25-70 kilometers. The Chinese missiles are CM-501/502, that is, simply many years before Turkey dreamed of producing its missiles, meaning large stocks and a variety of ranges, and also unlike systems such as the VIKHR.

Why did he buy Turkish missiles when there are better Chinese missiles, such as the JK-2, with a weight of 50 kilograms and a range of 35 kilometers?

53235989382_58135a28eb_o3321321.jpg
You include Turkey in any topic as if God only created the mind for the Turks and that they are better, and this is the height of stupidity. Everyone has surpassed Turkey.

For your information, you do not market. On the contrary, you turn everyone against you. The simplest example is that we had requests for rapid intervention vehicles for the police, and the OTOKAR ISV product was rejected, and we were given recommendations to reject them completely.

002GpOLzgy1guy4cd7s4pj61400u01310231321323321.jpg

The Turks’ insistence on selling their products has reached the stage of setting up factories in Egypt. Why are they fleeing to Egypt and why do they insist on this strange insistence that Egypt accept their products? If their products are really good, why are they marketing them in such a vulgar manner when Egypt did not announce that it would buy and Egypt also rejected the Turkish engines for the armored vehicles that were presented in EDEX-2023 exhibition, and Turkey was preferred over it, so the Turks turned to the last option, which is to invest in Egypt, even though Egypt did not ask, which explains that if they had a good product, it would speak for itself and not sell in this cheap way and at the lowest prices. Turkish weapons were an accusation they wanted to attach to Egypt.
