@The SC , they'll have to find another alternative it looks like. 2nd X post not about Iran.
They've even upgraded their F-4 Phantoms and both them and Greece are still flying their F-4s really hard. Look at this pic from a TuAF F-4 training with its carrier arrester hook on an emergency landing wire arrester cable. Impressive.
And the Greeks. (Recently from Iniochios Exercise I believe).

The Greeks are mad dogs! lol (That's a compliment BTW, just in case...

). They go nuts with their impeccable Aegean islands & seaways.
And the Hellenic AF Mirage 2000-5 pilots are also incredible.
Unfortunately the latest news is that India is in discussions with Greece to acquire its Mirage 2000-5s to add to the IAF's current 51 Mirage 2Ks. We'll keep an eye out on that development.
That's the #1 thing. If they concentrate on training and keep the deals for 4+ gen aircraft going like additional Rafales & Typhoons and even the MiG-35 and definitely try for the R-77-1 and if somehow get the R-37M which might even surpass the Meteor in some respects, then they'll be perfectly fine.
The problem with any Russian equipment is well-known to us. But if they've abandoned the Su-35 for the F-15, then they need to do what's obvious in that regard...
Hahaha, join the club. Sucks getting old. Looking in the mirror the other day and I'm noticing more grey hairs than ever before man that was depressing as hell. Then my bro sent me pics of when we were young and I was like screw this!

lol
19 from the Congo? So those were Mirage 5M? Fascinating. I've never seen an EAF 5M that would be very unique & exciting.
Are they still deploying some of the 5s? Honestly that was one aircraft I don't think they necessarily needed to retire, especially with the low Rafale count. Wait until those reach the 54 mark plus maybe EFTs and possibly F-15s and then maybe put them in storage. Not sure what happened with the Pakistani Air Force as they were interested in buying them for spares or whatever.
Do you have any news on the MiG-35 prospects?
Indeed. We should find out soon enough about several big-ticket items and where the EAF stands with them - the start of F3R/4 Rafale deliveries and the biggest question of all, the Meteor. The 24 Eurofighter Typhoon deal and if it's including the F-15s and if the EAF would accept them without AIM-120s or.....? Which subsequently would put a complete end to the Su-35S saga and NO ONE can claim they're hidden in some hangar in some secret airport on some secret island lmaaaoooo.
First, there is no information or even real interest from Egypt in American aircraft. On the contrary, America believes that the Egyptian Air Force should be weaker, and therefore it will not get anything. Egypt, for the record, is the one who planned not to obtain American fighters for a long time.
The only aircraft that Egypt wanted was the CH-47F II helicopter only because there is no alternative to it except the MI-26 aircraft, which Egypt protested, of which the number is limited to no more than 6 aircraft, while the CH-47F II aircraft. The required numbers are more than 23 aircraft.
If the Americans refused to provide Egypt with the smallest weapons, such as the Javelin missile or the AIM-120 missile, would Egypt turn to America, regardless of the offers and temptations, even if for free?
European, Russian, and perhaps Chinese sources are the basis for the fighters
Egypt does not announce everything it has, and the Egyptian camouflage is different from the Congo's camouflage, and Egypt is always committed to publishing pictures of the first aircraft of some models.
The departure of the Mirage aircraft is normal. The aircraft entered in the seventies and early 1970s. Therefore, it is normal for them to be removed from service after 40 years, while the upgraded aircraft will extend its lifespan for a number of additional years.
If Egypt had abandoned the Sukhoi 35 deal, it would have announced it and taken the return
From other fighters
I gave a very simple analysis. Egypt canceled the SU-57 deal first because it was not ready. The AL-51 engine was not ready, and even Algeria itself will receive it after the AL-51 engine is ready.
Why do the Americans insist that Egypt canceled the SU-35 deal? Egypt did not even obtain from Erika the development of the M113 or M1A1. Do you imagine that it will obtain American fighters? Rather, it is easier for it to have local development programs for American equipment. These are the reasons for Egypt heading to South Korea for the TA/FA-50 plane. Its production is to develop the remainder of the F-16 fleet with components of this aircraft to increase its performance
The K-9 cannon will be used to develop the M109 cannon
And the K2 tank to develop the M1A1. This is the only explanation for the South Korean deals with Egypt and also the reason for the long negotiations with the Koreans.
Regarding the MIG-35 plane, nothing has been announced, but there are also question marks. The Russians announced more than two years ago that the production line for the MIG-35 plane has a production capacity of 30 planes, and there were only 14 MIG-29M planes in the order book for Algeria. The Russians announced at the end of 2023 that they would buy the plane. The natural MIG-35 was that they were entering service, especially since the plane would be able to use the Russian R-37M missile and other tactical munitions in the Russian Air Force.
Egypt has not announced any deals with the Russians except the old KA-52/MIG-29/S-300V deals, but in reality the Israelis are talking about Egypt getting more Russian fighters and even hinting that Egypt has a Russian alternative to the F-35.
The only explanation is that the Russians, since 2022, have been producing the requirements of these countries for large customers, India and Egypt, within production lines in these countries, and not selling weapons directly.
You know, if America had given Egypt 48 F-15E planes for free, along with AIM-120 missiles and modern American ammunition, we would have actually said that Egypt had canceled the SU-35 deal, but nothing was simply done.
It is not only prohibited weapons, but the value of American weapons that Egypt considers does not match its efficiency or capabilities. As long as Egypt buys the weapons, it will get what it wants from other sources, and America has no control over it.
The naive talk that it is not possible to hide advertising planes from any party is for reasons. Why do the Americans announce the presence of weapons deposited in Egypt except for another purpose, which is to supply Israel with other weapons? The Egyptians. Let us assume that one of them published a picture of one of the banned weapons. Would he risk publishing a picture and being imprisoned for several years?
Secondly, the presence of aircraft at medium altitudes does not reveal their type. Are satellites monitoring the airspace from more than 40 Egyptian air bases 24 hours a day?
Do you want to surprise Saudi Arabia? It negotiated and obtained many Russian weapons, not only armored vehicles, tanks, and air defense systems, but also fighter jets, all of which are stored and only appear in times of need. This information I obtained from one of the Russians.
Why does America want to supply Israel with 50 F-15IA aircraft, worth $18 billion, in light of the collapse of the Iranian Air Force? That is, they will destroy the more imbalanced balance of power in the Middle East, unless there are other matters other than the fact that Israel has contracted for 75 F-35 aircraft.
Has Israel announced that Egypt has canceled the SU-35 deal yet? Of course not
Other information: The Russians’ production lines for the Su-35 since 2014 include Russian exports and production for the Russian Air Force. In the period between 2014-2020 Russia obtained 100 SU-35 aircraft, China obtained 24, and a number were produced for export to other countries. Simply put, the annual production rate is at least 24 aircraft. We heard a lot of news that Iran will acquire Egyptian planes The volume of Russian production from 2020 to 2024 Egypt's requests included 30 Requests of the Russian Air Force 28 So there are more than 20 other aircraft remaining. Why has Iran not obtained them yet, whether the Egyptian aircraft or the other 20+ aircraft?
In 2022, Indonesia exported products to America at a price of 31.6 billion dollars and inherited 10.3 billion dollars, meaning that Indonesia benefits from America as a result of the large Indonesian exports to America as well. The Indonesians, when they requested 36 F-16 fighter jets, America offered a price of 12.3 billion dollars, which is a very exaggerated price. The Indonesians said that the issue Not prices, but compensation for Indonesian exports, and the imbalanced trade balance between the situation between Egypt and America is not in Egypt’s favor, and Egypt is not benefiting from America, but rather losing in the trade exchange.
There are confirmed facts that Egypt is under economic pressure from America and an arms embargo. So why does Egypt care about America’s approval? You are fighting economically in any case.
A final point: Egypt was offered fighters by China, and Egypt did not contract for them due to the fact that China has come to see itself as a superpower and reserves advanced weapons for its army only. Therefore, the Egyptian demands for fighters were not met, so Egypt rejected them completely. If Egypt had restrictions and there was no alternative, it would have been forced to buy Chinese fighters because it simply considered it China is one of the suppliers, if it can meet the technical needs required by Egypt, then the modesty of what China has offered since 2009 of the J-10, J10-A, and J-10C versions is the reason for the Egyptian rejection of them.
The European side in the field of armaments wants to stress arms exports to Egypt, but Egypt can force them in another way. The Europeans want money, and when they found that Egypt had moved to meet its military demands from South Korea and partly Turkey, the European countries became forced to sell weapons to Egypt because there are alternatives, even the German side, which restricts exports. Weapons for Egypt are simply not delivered through intermediary companies in other countries, far from the restrictions of the German government. This is what happened even with German arms exports to Saudi Arabia and the UAE. They used another country as a front.
Egypt has not succeeded in manufacturing weapons, so it is forced to buy fighters in large numbers because it will not have any available fighters in times of war. Also, the high levels of threats, whether from Israel, Turkey, Ethiopia, or the collapse of the Sudanese state and the Libyan state, force Egypt to increase its stockpiles of fighters because no one will always provide it with alternative fighters in times of war. We follow the Israeli reports that clarify some undeclared matters to analyze what they announce
