It is not very clever to generalize a region home to 700 million people. Latino is a blanket description anyway. You have 25 million Black-Brazilians alone who are Latinos as well. You have approximately 25-30 million Latinos of Arab origin. Most Latinos, as I wrote, are Mestizos, meaning a mixture of native tribes (originally from Siberia hence the Asian look), Southern Europeans (and by default Arab ancestry as well due to mostly Spaniard and Portuguese European ancestry) and Africans. Later came significant Arab migrations and others as well.Sometimes the wannabes are the worst
Take a look at this video of Islam and Muslims in Argentina which is the most "European" Latin American country.
Even the adhan is tolerated and allowed. Many European countries home to many large Muslim populations do not allow it to this day.
I travelled across a few Latin American countries and never experienced racism even 1 single time. Blended in fine. I was met (we) only with curiosity and hospitality by large.
I don't know of any Arab-Latin American (in places like the US) hostility either. Seem to get along very well.
They were very lucky though. France should have scored far earlier and Paraguay should have had at least 1 or 2 sending offs.Paraguay may have just given away how to play the French team if you're a team the size of US, Mexico and other non-tall and physical teams.... defense defense defense until you see your shot or send it too penalty kicks. It almost worked if it wasn't for the obvious foul.
Solely defending in a low block is not a very clever tactic against a team with so much offensive firepower as the French one that can kill you (score a goal) any given moment through individual brilliance.
