Kurram attack martyrs Sepoy Muhammad Azam Khan, Havildar Aqeel Ahmed, Sepoy Anosh Rufun, Lance Naik Muhammad Tafeer, and Sepoy Haroon William.

An improvised explosive device (IED) detonated on a vehicle of the Security Forces in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Friday, resulting in the martyrdom of five soldiers, the military’s media wing said in a statement.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the attack on the armed forces occurred in general area Sadda of Kurram District.

The fallen include Havildar Aqeel Ahmed (33, District Okara), Lance Naik Muhammad Tafeer (30, District Poonch), Sepoy Anosh Rufun (24, District Attock), Sepoy Muhammad Azam Khan (26, District Haripur), and Sepoy Haroon William (29, Islamabad Capital Territory).

"Sanitisation of the area is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists present in the area, and perpetrators of this heinous act will be brought to justice," the ISPR statement said.

The Security Forces of Pakistan remain resolute in their determination to eliminate the menace of terrorism. "Such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve," the ISPR statement added.

Earlier in the month an IED was detonated on a vehicle of the Security Forces in Lakki Marwat District resulting in the martyrdom of seven soldiers.

Since the creation of Pakistan, the Christian sons of the soil never hesitated to sacrifice their lives for the defense of the motherland.

They always stood shoulder to shoulder with their Muslim brethren to shed their blood for the noble cause of defending Pakistan.

So far 90+ Christians, including two officers, have sacrificed their lives for Pakistan from Pakistan Army alone, excluding Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and Pakistan Navy. ——

Sepoy Anosh Rufun and Sepoy Haroon William also sacrificed their lives today for the motherland.

2nd IED in a week and a half , now 12 martyrs.

It's a total farce now. So what of this high command?

Basically, through IBOs they kill a bunch of afghans, and everything goes quite for a while

More afghans are trained in Afghanistan, then a gang or a group will get through,

Unable to attack facilities, IEDs are a simple of way of targeting patrols

Until more IBOs happen and you find and neutralize the Afghan gang.

Look at Balochistan, about two years ago you had a number of attacks in forces patrols, then a bunch of IBOs happened and the terrorists quite down again

Until you have nation wide crackdown on afghans you will constantly be forced to manage the situation with the Afghans

The attack in Baluchistan wasn't done by Afghans. This one is anybody.
It still doesn't rule out the fact the troops on patrols can be easily hit by IED's. Terrorists have given up direct encounters and ambushes due to massive losses and the use of drones to chase them down. They now stick to this option, which for them has proved to be highly successful.

I know but Balochistan goes very quiet, when IBOs are done, because they don't have the ability to replace the BLA type terrorists

And the IBOs are effective in KP also, that's why they are going back to IEDs, it's just a question of repeated IBOs, constant improvement of border security and just a constant focus on Kicking out every afghan from the country

For the last 20+ years we have been hearing Pakistan is upgrading their forces around Afghanistan Pakistan border but still our troops are not equipped to deal with the insurgents. We are in big trouble and this insurgencies will continue for many decades.

Why did Mir Bajwa build that stupid fence if we can't stop the infiltration from Afghanistan?

tujh ko kitnon ka lahu chahiye ai arz-e-watan

jo tere aariz-e-be-rang ko gulnar karen

kitni aahon se kaleja tera thanda hoga

kitne aansu tere sahraon ko gulzar karen

tere aiwanon mein purze hue paiman kitne

kitne wade jo na aasuda-e-iqrar hue

kitni aankhon ko nazar kha gai bad-khwahon ki

Khwab kitne teri shah-rahon mein sangsar hue

bala-kashan-e-mohabbat pe jo hua so hua

jo mujh pe guzri mat us se kaho, hua so hua

mabaada ho koi zalim tera gareban-gir

lahu ke dagh tu daman se dho, hua so hua

hum to majbur-e-wafa hain magar ai jaan-e-jahan

apne ushshaq se aise bhi koi karta hai

teri mehfil ko khuda rakkhe abad tak qaim

hum to mehman hain ghari bhar ke hamara kya hai

It's massively reduced infiltration, it was also vital to start strengthening Pakistans boundaries

Afghans have always been and acted like our enemies, it was no longer possible to have open borders with a enemy who was intent on causing endless fassad

It's now vital that not only we strengthen our border further, but push out non citizens who cause nothing but problems within Pakistan

How have they been massively reduced when the attacks see no reduction...
