Golf is life
Cannot be done

Wastefulness is culture
Might as well break up the country
one simple example is of the annual PSDP budget. 1500 Billion rupees, being spent on roads in constituencies of the ruling party MNA/MPAs, building renovations and for new tiles in toilets.

Because at the end the Afghans have always considered you lesser people from history who have stolen lands from them . Compound that with the overall impression in Taliban that Pakistan betrayed them and then the general Afghan “blame” on a people for the Afghan war… the same people who hosted them for 40 years.

Unless that border is sealed off with money spent that ensures anyone outside of crossings gets a bullet or a missile - which is extremely expensive as a perpetual situation

OR

You Sanitize your area and then expand a massive covert network in Afghanistan that guides kill strikes on an almost constant basis which reminds them of the PTSD from the US occupation.. and maybe you get some respite… but it’s still expensive.

Either way, thanks to the decision makers who made the screwed up decisions that led to this economic situation… you really can only spend lives since you have money

Still have a problem with the Kabul government has nothing to lose, but Pakistan has everything to lose.

Pretty shocking sending our boyz out in insurgent areas riding open in Toyota Hilux trucks. Jharrnailon ko koi sharam ne aati? Where are those 1000 MRAPS? We have 2000 or so Thalla/ M-113 APC's. Are Jharrnail saving them for Christmas?
At the very least try to modify the Hilux to be able to provide enough protection from IEDs to survive them.

@Signalian id like to thank you for a reality check of the infiltration area pic you posted here. That alone should give all the commenters here a good picture of just what kind of terrain our soldiers are trying to prevent infiltration from.

If somebody does not understand the magnitude of the challenge just by looking at that bordering region, he should not be allowed to comment any further on this topic.
