Pakistan became a hotbed of CIA agents starting early 80s and I presume the country is in a very compromised place by now. But that's for another topic.

Iran will have to respond to this as otherwise I cannot see how they can resist the entity anymore in any meaningful way. The "axis of resistance" may not be able to hold if Iranians cannot even guarantee security in Tehran to VIPs. In effect Iran's credibility as a leader in the ME is at stake.
