Gaza-Israel Conflict | 2023-2024

Israel can't achieve its most important strategic goals that it set about after October 7: Eliminate the Gazan resistance and push back Hezbollah. If Israel still pushes itself to broaden and intensify the war, with the hope of bringing in the Americans to help them, then still Israel will not be able to achieve its goals.
It is futile. It is basically over: Gaza can't be occupied or Gazans be expelled, meaning the threat from Gaza will remain. And it is up to the Americans to force Israel to a ceasefire; that would be humiliating to Israel but better than the destruction of Israel towns/infrastructure and thousands of Israelis killed.

I think that Zionists would not dare take on Hezbollah without the full backing of the US.

Even then with full US support, Hezbollah can flatten half of their occupied territories and the loss of hundreds of thousands of educated and skilled second passport holders and investors may make their continued occupation of Palestine unsustainable.

It looks like a lose-lose scenario for the Zionists now. Whichever way this turns out they are likely to lose.

the world has to come together to stop these genocidal maniacs

in 100 days what did they achieve in Gaza? every time they claim victory in an area and withdraw, the next second Hamas is back there and firing rockets back into Israel

so what can they achieve with even 1000 days in Lebanon? only killing tens of thousands more babies.
Not sure how reliable the report is. Could be just citing a source within Netanyahu's government. But, the crux of it is regardless. Saying there should be no Lebanese manning the border and they have move back to central Lebanon 40km or more, or else expect war, is insane and illegal. They can threaten to wage war for illegal reasons and may try to do this with Palestinians in Gaza to try preventing them from protecting their borders and annex/occupy land.

Netanyahu is talking about war in Gaza until 2025 (to save himself, to embarrass Biden and bring Trump back)

Israel is talking about going to war with Hezbollah by end of January to return settlers to the north

Israel's war cabinet is becoming more divided and protests inside Israel are growing

Hamas is still entrenched in Gaza and no major Hamas military leaders have been eliminated

USA and Israel cannot agree on anything, Netanyahu publicly contradicts anything Biden says about post-war Gaza and future of two-state solution

Israel is taking the opportunity to target high-ranking IRGC members in Syria, Iran retaliates in other theatres but lacks good options due to lack of IDF presence outside of Israel

USA bombs Yemen every day but admits the bombing will not be effective, global shipping is significantly impacted as Yemenis increase the cost of genocide

Iraqi Resistance pounds US bases with rockets/missiles every day, USA retaliates and kills high-ranking PMU members in Iraq (with no effect)

---

Normally I don't like those who exaggerate about the risk of a regional war etc but here we are the closest to such a war than I can ever remember

A consistent theme of their messaging is their desire to return settlers to the north and demands for Hezbollah to withdraw from the border. Hezbollah will never agree to this so a diplomatic solution is very unlikely. Israel can either drop this demand or go to war. It seems Israel is pursuing escalation on all fronts as Bibi desperately tries to prolong the war / rescue his image.

I think the Litani condition is a tactic to convince HZ to give the rest of conditions

They know wanting a withdraw to Litani needs a long war.

A protest organised in front of BC Parliament calling for a complete ceasefire and free palestine.

The slogans "Stop Stop Genocide" "Free Free Palestine" could be heard.

I worked with First Nations folks to raise a common cause protest against Israel's child genocide. First Nations have been protesting against children abduction and deaths over many many decades in Canada's residential school programs.

PS : Twitter handle is throw away because I am not a Canadian citizen.

It is indeed a lose-lose scenario for the Zionists. I want to laugh at those who, in the old PDF, were predicting another 1967 like total and quick victory by Israel. Hezbollah had already shown how to tackle Israel in 2006 and the Gazans have done the same now.

You are right on on everything except the madness which is in Israel is self-destructive. The century+ year old dreams, planning, work, disinformation, World Wars, Holocaust leading to the creation of a rich vibrant country is being undone due to their own racism and arrogance and they won't go down without a major bloodbath in the region.

Promised thousands of job by replacing Palestinian people...
I wish Indians that support Israel like crazy would take a step back, overlook their hatred for Pakistan/muslims and try to think rationally. The zionists and Israeli's think very low of Indians, they are racist people. They will use indians and if they start to work in that apartheid state they will be used and abused openly. The Indians who are hindu will also be hated by the religious jews, they will see them as idol worshipers and will get zero respect. Look how they are treating Palestinian people both muslim, christian, including non Palestinians who are not jews as well. This is a racist state which is looking more and more like Hitlers germany.

Hindutva Hindus are making a historic mistake by siding with Israel against the Palestinians. The Indian issues with Pakistan are not that hard to solve but to betray to a world, which is generally pro Palestinian, that 'Indians' are with Israel, is a big mistake and with dire consequences for India's own interests. For a start, if true representative govts take hold of the Arab world then are not going to look kindly at the millions of Indian workers in the Middle East.

The level of disagreement between @JoeBiden and @Netanyahu has reached unprecedented levels. The level of internal Israeli disagreement is also unprecedented, with Israeli military leaders expressing inability to defeat #Hamas or occupy & control #Gaza.

Biden thought he could control #Israel at some point. He realises his mistake and now understands that Netanyahu is uncontrollable and waging a personal war.
