The AZB-81 has a range of up to 180 kilometers with a weight of 125 kilograms, a 35-kilogram warhead, and a mini-jet engine.

And by utilizing GNSS and IIR guidance in the final phase, it has the capability to engage a wide spectrum of threats, from suppressing air defenses to vehicles on the move.

With the difference that this version is a kit for 1000-pound Mark 83 bombs and by adding a mini jet engine and IIR seeker, it brings a range of over 280 kilometers.
 
The non-engineered version of the Huzb family has been in service with the Pakistan Air Force for years, and the LR version was introduced during IDEAS 2024 and is likely to become operational this year.

Huzb 81 provides a notable boost in strike capability for the Thunder.
Carries 4~6 weapons with 3 fuel tanks and 2 air-to-air missiles
and an operational radius of about 900 kilometers

Qaswa Industries AZB-81LR: Pakistan’s Precision Stand-Off Strike Capability

The AZB-81LR developed by Qaswa Industries is a long-range precision-guided small diameter bomb designed to convert standard munitions into stand-off glide weapons. Equipped with advanced guidance systems, the AZB-81LR enables aircraft to engage targets from extended distances with enhanced accuracy and survivability.

By allowing strike platforms to remain outside hostile air defense envelopes, the system strengthens precision-strike capability while supporting modern network-centric airpower operations.
 
Remote Interface Unit, developed by a Pakistan defense contractor, Qaswa Industries. The RIU serves as a communication interface between the aircraft and the weapon terminal, ensuring seamless integration and operation of various weapon systems.

Specifically designed for the JF-17 Thunder aircraft, enabling operation from weapon stations numbered 2, 3, 5, and 6. 🇵🇰
