They are doing all of this just to protect themselves, which only exposes their desperation. They know exactly what fate awaits them for the crimes they’ve committed. They've blatantly violated the Constitution by not holding elections within 90 days. They’ve denied us our basic rights and blocked Senate elections in KP. They've even stooped so low as to kidnap innocent mothers and sisters from their homes. Their entire focus is on clinging to power at any cost, but these desperate survival tactics will only deepen their eventual downfall."

Army Chief tenure should be 3 years maximum, no extension. 1 year is too less and 5 years is too long. If army really wants 5 years tenure then they should explain why it's needed, have a debate, explain why every COAS wants extension and causes instability and problems due to this adventure. A professional army COAS doesn't work alone, he works with his lieutenants, when he retires after 3 years his lieutenants are already experienced enough to carry on the policy.

I think Army Chief tenure should be for life. It will solve a lot of problems in Pakistan.

After every 3 years, our country is set a part in 2 pieces until the Army chief is given another extension and then everything calms down.

Musharraf was in power for 8 years and stayed COAS and so did Zia and his predecessors. It means if the Army Chief is appointed for life, hopefully the Army’s focus will move beyond seeking another extension and then everyone knows in principle that they will stay for as long as required and the priorities will change.

Perhaps even add the current chief’s face to the currency - get rid of that weak looking fart Jinnah. Just like the current UK head of state’s face is on the currency - put Hafiz sb on the currency and then from there on every note gets its own Army chief..

So maybe if Hafiz sb gets 5000rs, Musharraf get $1000 , $500 to Raheel Shareef, $100 to Ayub Khan, $20 to Zia and maybe $10 to Jinnah as participant.
