HAL LCA Tejas: Updates, News & Discussions

How difficult is it understand for you ?. India is not buying Derbies in future..
I-Derby range is 80-90 km
Derby ER range is 100 km.
Astra MK1 is already better than both. MK1 will replace all other BVR of this range in future.
MK1 is already integrated with SU 30.
For the rest of the fleet process is going on.

You answered the point. "In the future"

Until then SU-30s basically are outranged by AMRAAM and PL-15. Just like in 2019....

Wow ! Genius ! You got it.
Mig 29 and Sukhoi have : R 27 range 150km+ ( a bit old).
Rafale has : Meteor which outrage both PL 15E and AMRAAM..

You have virtually no Pl15
Unless you have been given handful for your j10c

Your air force is equipped sd10 and amraams if your f16s still.function.effectively

Are you just plain stupid or ignorant? Or both?

If this is not a PL-15, then I really don't know how to continue any meaningful discussion ... but it explains the mindset to call the J-20 "at best a 4th generation fighter"!

Just in case you really don't know ... this is a SD-10 aka PL-12 both outer AMMs vs two PL-15 (inner AAMs)

So give the proof !
PL 15 ! Where art thou !

You were the one claiming Meteor in service and this is a tejas thread, so shall we stick to what we are debating, its obvious to everyone reading now you are trying to divert the conversation as there is simply no proof of Meteor in IAF service

If it helps you sleep better Yasser we have no meteore and No plans to acquire them.

Let's us continue with Tejas thread
We are not interested in your j31 purchase or any other wild claims there boring and far from reality

Does it also have two way data link?

CEC capabilities were displayed using Tejas and Astra.
This is next-level stuff. Here’s how it goes down: one Tejas locks onto a target, sends the info over to another Tejas through a secure link, and boom — that second jet can fire an Astra missile without even switching on its radar. It's like something out of a spy movie — the enemy doesn’t even see it coming. It's similar to the U.S. Navy's NIFC-CA concept and can be extended to other aircraft like the Su-30MKI, making it a formidable capability for any air force. @Pingle
