It makes sense but we need something to talk about something to fret about and something to fight about, that's who we are ( we means humans )I have been listening to all sides on this issue of IWT for several days, including international experts and there is another perspective to this as well. First of all, even if India builds reservoirs to stop complete water from Pakistan, India can only ever block upto 35% of Pakistani water. As that much water originates and flows through India before adding into our own sources of water and ice. We get 65% of water form mountains, rainfall and snowfall within our own Northern Areas, or which originate too close to our borders to be blocked. But we have no capacity to store it and it just wastes away into the Ocean. Thus we keep relying on all year around natural flow of rivers to sustain our agriculture. Unlike many others including China who have built up capacities to store as much water as they can, from within their own territories, especially.
The water wars ARE going to happen. There is no way around it. Indian states are infighting for water already. Two years back, 3 of the Indian states had actual fights between their police forces at their borders, due to water sharing. So India will also have no choice but to do something about it.
I think its more important for us to build effective Dams on our side. If we do, we won't have to rely on India anyway. Our own Ice, rain and other sources will fill our reservoirs enough for our needs, by the time India finishes any projects on their side. For another 5 - 8 years we will really not face any meaningful issues from India on this matter, but if we ignore this now and do not start building Dams of our own, then yes ! We will ! So its also important for us to stop making this an issue of our ego.
Lets face the reality. We can either go to war with India so neither they, nor we store any water. Or we can also take responsibility for ourselves and start building as many dams to store enough of the water that originates within our borders and I hope our politicians and establishment are aware of this. If not then we also need to take responsibility and push our politicians to take responsibility and take care of this matter before India builds up their own reservoir capacities. China can easily help us o this matter and we can take care of it all.

Immense effort was taken to build dams and reservoirs, and new ones are being built but we MUST deal with the backwards stupidity of some communities and wake them up to reality
Are you serious? I pointed it out but it seems it went over your head.View attachment 117082
The water comes from a variety of sources, monsoon, glaciers etc
You still need dams and reservoirs to store the water genius
We have incredible jahils in places like Sindh, Balochistan and KP, who have blocked these things for decades because of ethnocentric jahilat
The uniforms.. we are asking the wrong question.
Real question is how did this take place
You can’t blind eye everything this is hard evidence whether recent or old that intrusive actions have taken place inside military institutions

The only river which gets most of the glacial run off is Indus within Pakistan.
and party jhelum. Chenab, Ravi, Sutlej all depend on Indian glaciers
Monsoons & rainfall account for a small percentage of rivers water supplies. its mainly glacial melt. The only way you can secure your water security is to take kashmir or build dams on your side which help store water in dry seasons. Those are Kashmiri glaciers, which should be part of Pakistan, part of the reason for partition was seperation from a Hindu enemy we hated and distrusted
But your not getting it, between the monsoon and our own water systems the vast majority of the water comes from areas the Indians can do nothing about
That DOESN'T change the fact that most usable water is WASTED because we don't store it anywhere or use it
We have ethnic dumb shits who will happily sit their watching the water run into the sea then actually try to use it or store it
So how do we knock sense into these clowns, almost all major new dam projects are up north where they are more reasonable people, we need projects in other areas and for the local idiots to grow a brain

The best option is always controlling the source which is in Kashmir & Himachal which we aint getting anytime soon
Ethnicity, cultural influence etc is also a big factor.
Be very interesting to see if the Han jump in here, in 'different people' war.
