I must appreciate that at least Indians are constantly investing in engine project. They will eventually make it, not sure in 2030 or 2060… but the intentions are clear.

It is the exact class needed for stealth bomber drone GHATAK UCAV. India had no such capability before. Building the core technologies (high-temperature materials, compressors, turbines, digital controls) is the hard part. Thrust rating is the application, not the only measure of difficulty.

US, and France develop engines across multiple thrust classes. They do not only work on 150 kN machines and ignore everything else. Dismissing a 50 kN dry engine as “no achievement” simply because bigger ones exist is a weak deflection. Progress is progress.
