AIRSPACE REVIEW – PT Len Industri, part of the DEFEND ID Holding, launched the DID 3.11 drone for surveillance and combatant functions at the ongoing Bali International Airshow (BIAS) 2024 at I Gustri Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali.

A total of two red and white drones were displayed in the outdoor arena of the exhibition.

Director of PT Len Industri Bobby Rasyidin said that the DID 3.11 drone already has a TKDN (local content) of 45 percent.

He added that in the future content development will be carried out in accordance with the mission required by users. For example, payloads for SAR (Synthetic Apperture Radar), Direction Finder, Jammer, and others.

Drones are equipped with a variety of advanced sensors to be able to carry out various missions effectively and efficiently.

Currently, there are two types of drones being built, namely for surveillance and combatant purposes. This drone was developed at the PT Len Industri facility in Subang. Meanwhile, the flight test was carried out from Nusawiru Pangandaran.

With a flight time of more than 10 hours, the DID 3.11 drone can carry out missions for a longer period of time so that it is more effective in carrying out missions.

It also includes efficient operational capabilities, with automatic take-off/landing capabilities, ease of operation, compact mobilization and common fuel types.

This pertamax-fueled drone can travel to a maximum speed of 180 km per hour with a maximum range of 1,500 km. (RBS)
