On March 23, 2022, Infoglobal receives a visit from the Thales team, a French company engaged in the defense sector. This visit is welcomed by Adi Sasongko as the President Director, at the Infoglobal Representative Office, Jakarta.
The visit by Thales was aimed at reviewing Infoglobal's capabilities in the aerospace and defense sector related to preparations for receiving Transfer of Technology (ToT) and Local Content & Offset (LCO) for the procurement of Rafale aircraft by the Indonesian Government.
Infoglobal has experiences in developing avionics instruments for combat aircraft and has implemented the AS9100 standard in its quality management system.
InfoGlobal becomes what we see now after Indonesia get arm embargo from US and Western nation since late 1990's until 2005. The first aircraft who gets InfoGlobal avionics is F5 Tiger, then Hawk100/200. Info Global avionics is also reported inserted to Indonesian F16 illegally during US arm embargo to Indonesia.
US Hands Over Three CN235 Maritime Surveillance Aircraft to Malaysia
According to the U.S. Embassy to Malaysia, the U.S. government has provided approximately $60 million in Maritime Security Initiative grant funding for the conversion of the three cargo aircraft to maritime surveillance configuration by
CN235 manufacturer PT Dirgantara Indonesia, with the program the first major U.S. security grant program in Malaysia. Other aid supplied under the Maritime Security Initiative includes Insitu ScanEagle drones donated to the Royal Malaysian Navy.
The CN235s are equipped with maritime surveillance radars, electro-optical infrared turrets, beyond line-of sight communications and roll-on/roll-off system operator stations. While neither the embassy or the Royal Malaysian Air Force has provided details on their sensor capabilities, PT Dirgantara Indonesia claims that the maritime surveillance radar is able to detect “small” targets up to 200 nautical miles away.
