In fact the clown(hell to pay) in-chief has already played his hand once in Gaza. Made a deal and changed goal posts and didn't even deliver on agreed terms.

If this is what Iran seeks, it is what they'll get... Libya disarmed. Qaddafi paid the ultimate price and the state became and easier meal to swallow. Iran doesn't even know it's strength and that is its ultimate fall!

Guys here talk about tens of thousands of missiles. Just on this alone they're missing the mark... there is a thin veneer generating optics of power and possibility to project for the belligerent. Few batteries and bases. Once these ports and bases are dysfunctional, especially countermeasures, it is a free-for-all!!!
You don't need a million man army. You need a calculated Disarmament of the foe... just that will push the ability to project another thousand miles away... if that... sustained and forever gone from the region.

Always aim for the lowest common denominator when you obviously cannot match platforms and systems. Besides there is no appetite nor endless supply for a Russia-esque meat grinder.

If you already don't see how Israel has gotten away with genocide and ethnic cleansing in Palestine (and is even supported to continue it) while Russia is suffering for a military operation with minimal civilian casualties in Ukraine, then there's no hope for you to understand politics and international affairs.

Your word gizmo does not change the fact that IRI is either gonna get bombed by US+Israel+NATO or will have to sacrifice its nuclear program the same way it did before. Iran limited is MRBM ranges, no one else did but Iran.
Soleimani assasinated by US, Iran did nothing significant in return.
More IRGC Generals killed in Levant by Israel. Iran did nothing in return.
Iranian scientists assasinated by Mossad openly inside Iran. Iran did nothing in return.
Israel openly does terror attacks on Iranian nuclear sites. Iran did nothing in return.
Hamas finished.
Hezbollah leadership gone.
Syria lost to Israel and its condom Erdogan. Iran is still calling Turkey a brother country.
Iranian 100 Billion USD + thousands of soldiers' lives spent on the Levant wasted to dirt.
Houthis are getting bombed on daily basis now.
Iranian GDP is halved because of sanctions, Riyal now worth toilet paper.

You're obviously entitled your opinions. I for one happen to have a different interpretation of the events unfolding and all this is just fine. The issue is your ungentlemanly attitude towards everything and everyone concerning differing perspectives. Calling people stupid is hardly constructive dialog.
My word "gizmo" was intended to highlight this continuing disrespectful behaviour.

You are again taking someone else's word, in this case the orange manchild"s, against the word of Iranian officials and conflating it with truth. I'd rather believe the word of a prostitute than western officials, especially Trump, even though they're both in the same business.

I dont think asking for direct negotiations is blinking. Instead it's giving Trump a dilemma. I'd even say that Trump spilling the beans is a good thing for Iran.

Iran comes out the rational actor and good guy, and puts pressure on Trump to not take military actions, unless he wants to destroy the republican party for the next 50 years.

The Europeans would almost certainly reject any help to the US attacking Iran, or even further sanctions.

So Trump ends up with the dilemma of attacking and potentially being politically ruined, as well as geopolitically isolating the USA even further than it currently is under him. OR negotiating, and his successor (or himself if he somehow runs for a third term) losing for negotiating because AIPAC ended up funding his political opponents in retaliation (AIPAC has a nearly 100% electoral success rate).

The only out he would have is literally not doing anything in regards to Iran, but everyone knows he's too much of a narcissist idiot to simply stay away, so he has no choice but to decide what he wants to do.

For Iran,.it's much simpler. Offer negotiations fully expecting them to fail, go on a diplomatic blitz in Europe, and prepare for a potential war with the US and Israel.
