Posts like your's and of others asking for Iran to do a pre-emptive strike don't take into account who is sitting in the White House and who is influencing the sitter of the White House.

Not pre-emptive strike, but Iran's main objective to win this battle with minimal carnage.

Iran will not attack unless the US attacks first.

Sinking the two supercarriers might be too risky for the following two reasons:

1 - It might deplete most of your missile inventory.

2 - It might resort with a US nuclear retaliation.


So the best strategic goal for Iran is to repel the US army by incapacitating their supercarriers with damaged catapults.

This analysis that Iran’s pre-war air defense was somehow adequate is a farce.

It was held up by S-300 and 20+ year old TOR M1 and whatever left over from the old era like Hawk, S-200, BUK, rapier.

They simply weren’t producing Khordad variants, Tabas, Talash, in large enough amounts for point defense.

You get the picture. When I asked where the satellite photos of all these amazing systems were, people on here laughed at me.

The problem with Iran and North Korea is they show you this diverse catalog of weapons. And when you look behind the curtain you realize they didn’t actually mass produce any of them.

We saw this with Iranian Humvees and MRAPs. And this idiotic leadership is now importing Russian Humvees after parading Aras for years.

Like I said, this war exposed IRGC and Iranian leadership to major corruption.

I’m sure there was a large segment that thought Israel or America would never attack Iran or dare to kill the Supreme Leader so they said why spend $30B on toys when when we can pocket half of it for ourselves? Now that segment is probably dead and if we are lucky we are seeing Iran rapidly scrambling to actually arm itself because it has just found itself in an existential crisis of its own doing!

Because just like Russia’s tens of billions for military went to corruption, Iran’s billions likely went to corruption as well for every $1 invested into a product, $10 was pocketed by these thieves.

Let’s not forget, in Mao’s time you had a time when municipalities bureaus tied to the party lied and reported record grain storages in their silos. Then when bad droughts came, Mao thought they would be fine and when the time came to disperse from storages they found out that they were only 1/3 the levels reported to the government. Many regional leaders had lie out of fear of missing quotas or for other reasons. Tens of millions died in the resulting famine.

This is a problem when you get into authoritarian systems. People lie and cheat and steal to come out ahead or to get promoted or to avoid punishment.

True, China's fake capitulation was a window opportunity during that era, and it doesn't mean that Iran has to 100% replicate this one which is not even available anymore.

Right now, Iran needs to prepare to survive against the incoming onslaught.

Why didn’t the OTH radars pick up anything? Why did some regional areas rely on a single radar point? Why weren’t there multiple radars in place as back ups?

How did a fighter jet manage to drop a bunker buster on the bunker of Hajizadeh/Bagheri?

How did Israel do a massive bombardment of the bunker that housed the SNSC?

Why was the primary defense of Tehran, WW2 era AA guns? Where was Skyguard?

I disagree.

There is no precedent to a nation attacking another with Nuclear Weapons just because a warship is sunk due to a conventional attack.

Sinking a carrier is good for morale, because it is a highly symbolic event that marks the end of Western Naval Dominance in the Earth's oceans since 500 years, after the Portuguese ruled the waves in Asia after they captured Malacca and took over the Spice Trade Routes in the Indian Ocean and Malacca Straits since that era till now ( 1526- 2026 AD which is 500 years of Western Naval Supremacy in a region stretching from West Asia to SE Asia ).

I still have self-esteem problems when comparing our people to Europeans, where I'm not proud being a majority ethnic group in Malaysia because our military history sucks because our Malacca Sutanate lost to white-skinned foreign navy from Europe(Portugeuese) who came from Iberia that has just chased out brown Muslims, so I want to see US NAVY be destroyed as they are the modern-day Portugal for me who I want to see their navy be destroyed as I am still bitter Malacca couldn't won the war against the Portuguese White Crusader invader scum.

For many people of color who are mad at White People for their racism and Islamphobia, like ME here, it is very necessary to see a Highly Symbolic and Visible Asset of Modern-Day Western Naval Dominance like a USN Supercarrier be sunk in a Live, Real, War(not theory or wargames anymore) so as to elevate our Morale, our Self-Esteem, and even our Self-Confidence.

The sinking of a carrier allows many people to celebrate and live in high hopes that Western Naval Dominance and White People in Wars can be defeated by Non-White and Non-European, Non-Caucasian Peoples and gives us people of color a sense of pride and prestige that we can eliminate a highly symbolic asset of Caucasian Military Dominance in warfare(sure, Black Americans exist and USA is not just Whites, but it is Whites that are the Number 1 Majority race that still runs the country there, so the US military is still considered a representative of a "Caucasian Military Dominance as most of its soldiers are white")

Therefore, sinking A USN Supercarrier is a must, a "Baptism of Fire" (for a lack of a better word), to reduce Westerners into no longer a Military Powerhouse but to turn them into Insignificants in the face of the proud BRICS Alliance.

Iran has repaired some of the OTH radars, so they must have some utility

the story about Hajizadeh is that Israel waited for him to go to the usual meeting room and then killed him

maybe they used several ALBMs with penetrating warheads or internal explosives.
