I don't know. I haven't been proven wrong either. I said deterrence had not been established and it seems to be the case so far.
I claimed for years that Iran needed to go nuclear or we would eventually be dragged into a war with the US, and it seems to be the current situation.
What part of what I said about the 12-day war has been proven wrong so far?

Trump has accepted to only negotiate about the nuclear program for now, so there is some small hope a deal can be reached, albeit this only kicks the can down the road until he then demands we negotiate our missiles later

but I don't think the US has moved this much equipment into the region just for leverage, if Araghchi's proposal in 2-3 days doesn't satisfy him, then we are in a lot of trouble

Pixel literally posted an S-200 from recent satellite photo. And we have seen satellite photos of S-300 around Tehran. It is well known that Iran has modernized S-200 and still believes in the platform and shows it off at military parades every single year. If I’m not wrong S-200 also shot down an Israeli F-16 back during the Syrian civil war even thought it’s mostly supposed to be a bomber/AwAc/Tanker Hunter. So what are you disputing in Pixel’s post?

What evidence are you referring to? A few planes come from China and it means that China has been working on Iran’s air defenses since the war ended?

Unless you have evidence China and Russia each have transfer several AD batteries to Iran, there isn’t going to be some dramatic change in fortune for Iran. Iran simply doesn’t have enough air defense systems to counter 300+ fighter jets and 500+ LACM attacks. This isn’t something that can be changed that easily.

Iran simply doesn’t have enough air defense systems to counter 300+ fighter jets and 500+ LACM attacks. This isn’t something that can be changed that easily.

Truth fully speaking. Iran has to focus fire it's hypersonic missile to damage or destroy a carrier. Or go for a guerilla fight. The US after Vietnam has been very anti-war, plus this being one of the lowest approved war in US history. A somewhat strong resistance, enough to shoot down and resist the first advance would probably lead to massive protest in US. If the death toll reaches more than 10k for US then gg, it's not only over for US in Iran but it's gonna be over for Trump himself.

It's really surprising that people think our AD stands a chance against the US.
Both quality-wise and quantity-wise, we are extremely under-armed and they still think we stand a chance.

If we had at least enough S-300s, S-400s and Bavar-373s, we might've stood a chance. But 4 battalions of S-300 PMU2 and one operational Bavar-373, and a couple of S-200s and modified Hawks are not going to make a difference.

This analysis that Iran’s pre-war air defense was somehow adequate is a farce.

It was held up by S-300 and 20+ year old TOR M1 and whatever left over from the old era like Hawk, S-200, BUK, rapier.

They simply weren’t producing Khordad variants, Tabas, Talash, in large enough amounts for point defense.

How many Zubin were built?



How many 9 day systems were built?



How many 15 Khordad systems were built?



How many Meharn “F-35 killer” systems were built?



How many Bavar?

How many Arman?

Etc.

You get the picture. When I asked where the satellite photos of all these amazing systems were, people on here laughed at me.

The problem with Iran and North Korea is they show you this diverse catalog of weapons. And when you look behind the curtain you realize they didn’t actually mass produce any of them.

We saw this with Iranian Humvees and MRAPs. And this idiotic leadership is now importing Russian Humvees after parading Aras for years.

Like I said, this war exposed IRGC and Iranian leadership to major corruption.

I’m sure there was a large segment that thought Israel or America would never attack Iran or dare to kill the Supreme Leader so they said why spend $30B on toys when when we can pocket half of it for ourselves? Now that segment is probably dead and if we are lucky we are seeing Iran rapidly scrambling to actually arm itself because it has just found itself in an existential crisis of its own doing!
