Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Iran is going nuclear. In the off chance it doesn’t it’s not giving its HEU out of the country. Your defeatist scenarios don’t reflect the new reality which is Iran is 2-3 weeks away from crushing the world economy.

As Argachi told Witkoff in negotiations, “we won’t give you what you couldn’t take in war”.

Also your debating with a user who before the war said Reza Pahlavi is gonna be King and Iranians will rush to welcome him in the streets.
I agree, now that iran has chosen the total war option and is controlling the escalation ladder, it simply does not make sense not to rush to nukes. because they know at the end of the ladder, US or Israel will threaten it with Nukes.

in fact I think we could either have a major false flag blamed on iran, 9/11 type of event, or major global recession/depression. Then trump will come and say we cant fully stop them since they are fireing from underground and hence we have to use "limited low yield tactical nukes" to fully stop them and that it will stricly be used for these remote bases only.

Maybe they will try the limited ground invasion first, but once that fails their only other option is the above, and knowing this iran will threaten with nukes back. God knows what will happen then.

Note that many americans still justify the atomic bombs used on Japan in WW2

The hell is going on in Kuwait?

I googled it and it seems that there are refuted rumors of radioactive leak from the Bushehr nuclear reactor. Yet, the Kuwaitis are acting like this. That's strange.

scenario 1 accounts for that: "unless nukes are somehow developed or the global economic situation deteriorates so the US is forced to offer favourable terms to Iran"

I am not confident that IRI will not fold like in June. the damage being endured is substantial and will take many years to rebuild. we need exit ramps to consolidate gains rather than overplaying our hand.

He is allowed his opinion, it is a discussion forum, after all. We are all wrong at different times. The leader of the free world and the most powerful military in history did not expect Iran to fire missiles at Arab countries, and even he was wrong, lol.
at least this time, iran is offsetting loses by selling oil at higher prices and controls strait with potential tarriff charges, and all other economies are also equally suffering.

it doesnt make sense for ceasfire unless there is guarentees that iran wont be attacked again, and even then they need some form of compensation, i would imagine some sanctions relief.

Only way i see iran agreeing to ceasefire on unfavourable terms is pressure from china or if they truly cant develop nukes in time.

They released a radiation safety video as well. Maybe they got tipped off to something coming? Is US planning to attack Bushehr? That wouldn’t make sense because then they are going to drop soldiers into the radiation cloud?

Strange all around

Guys I'm sorry to be a little doomy & gloomy here, but I have bad feelings about that whole "backchannel" circus.

By markets closure on Friday they will :

-start massively bombing the electrical grid
-deploy the 82nd along with support from the MEUs

The two will be done in conjunction with a surge in bombings also in the planned deployment theater. Another Shock & Awe, try to develop with an assault at Chabahar , possibly already agreed with local Baluch insurgency. The Kharg/Kurdish thing is a ruse, and a bad one at that. They made a fuss about Kharg while it does not make any real strategic sense, and try to fool us into thinking supporting separatists elements in not on the cards with the Kurdish "disqualification". They might be reactivated in tandem with Baluchis.

There are long-terms plans with Iran. They are absolutely not done, not even close. They will erode it bit by bit, on the longer run, in low-intensity bombings like it's being done , punctuated with high-intensity when magazines and maintenance cycles allow. The power plants assault is one big , visible catalyst to the demise of the state they're looking for, I hope we don't get to this, but a lot of signs are pointing. Iranians may be brave and proud, but there are physical limits to what a country can take in terms of raw destruction I'm afraid.

All the ridiculous talk about negotiations is a disgraceful farce thrown at our faces for the third time. Trump is having his fun and absolutely loves berating Iranians as if they were nothing, it's appalling. He's enjoying his little monologue and knows that the whole world knows he's full of it. He simply does not care and will move ahead with his marching orders from Netanhyahu. Those "terms" are as unacceptable as they can get by design, yet again, the ballistic program by its mere reported presence means it's a done non-deal. Trump want to slaughter Iran and Iranians, period. They should never have said no to him. He cannot take no for an answer when he declares it's time for you to submit, that's the dark reality.

If anything he set it up exactly like last time : "as I told you day after day this week, we made progress, and then some more, and suddenly they stopped cooperating. I did all I could to avoid that, but now we really have to go all the way I guess. It's back to obliteration".

Let's hope there are enough vatan doost ready to at least put up a decent fight. I won"'t preach anything like an armchair general sitting thousands of miles away from that hell... sad times we live in. I simply keep some hope. Maximum strenght to the people.
Related, and not necessarily specifically a question for you, but anyone really - has the IRGC invested heavily in FPV drones? Not the smokescreen wunderwaffen trash like switchblades, but the easily iterated cheap dive attack and bomber style ones we've seen in the Russia/Ukraine war?

Iran has been using cheap drones since 1980 Iraq war. Iran is one of the first countries to use drones in a war for attacking (at the time).

But yes FPV and cheaper drones than infamous Shahed exist. Just don’t get much attention as they are for close range combat operations.

Good question. We see some advertized in operation in the hands of the PMF, so I assume Iran has its share in numbers, but I concede i'm not knowledgable in that field, the OSINT I follow does not go that far (assuming that kind of data is available at all).

Iraq’s National Security Council has authorized the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), a mostly Iranian-backed coalition of Shia armed groups, to exercise the right of self-defense and respond to any attacks targeting their positions, state media reported on Tuesday.

The green light from the National Security Council, chaired by Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, followed a deadly attack on PMF headquarters that killed at least 15 fighters, including a commander.

Changing your negotiating partner at the request of your enemy highlights America's frustration with its efforts to reach a deal with Iran.

Time flies! Just 26 days ago, Iran was offering everything to secure the deal.
Writing history through sacrifice builds an honorable future for generations to come.
Iran has undoubtedly won on the battlefield; now they must succeed at the negotiation table.

Not really.
There are conflicting priorities. JD may not share same goals as orange or Jared "the Riviera" Kushner. And that is what allows for a seeming rift looking genuine in nature yet undercutting efforts to resolve underlying issues.

The indicators however point towards an escalation. Which means that the delivery of the person playing the fall guy seems legit.
There is capital flight, bond crisis and inflation tsunami about to hit the rocks and are not factors in too many minds.
There is no short escape for Iran but there is silver lining in the long haul.

America is building up troops in the Gulf and going in for talks ? This is another repeat of Feb 28. They want to hold talks under the barrel of a gun. My prediction, either America will accept Iran's 6 point conditions or Israel will sabotage the talks with some major attacks on Iran that will force Iran to take drastic measures like hitting GCC energy infra or desalination plants, thereby ensuring USA keeps fights.
The 'talk' story was planted so clumsily that anyone can see it is just an attempt to buy time to get the marines in place. All the major retired military officers of U.S. laughed it off as B.S. Everyone I know in U.S. says trust Iranians before trusting what Trump says.
