Israel is continuing to pound southern Lebanon, let’s see if Iran stays true to its word. If it doesn’t, Israel will feel further emboldened.

It would mean Iran’s strikes against Israel have not deterred them from attacking southern Lebanon.

The point is very serious, IF you can comprehend it:

As long as Iran keeps vowing "Death to America!" do you think it will help the American people be more or less sympathetic to what Iran wants USA to do and stop supporting Israel?

All it does is help Israel convince the American people that it is their friend who stands between those shouting "Death to USA!" and the people here, and forces USA to do everything it can to prevent Iran from exercising its rights as a sovereign nation to get nuclear technology.

Is that too hard for you to understand?

It is a fair point being made on the face of it.

But the Iranian people did not utter such words in a vacuum, nor did their specific loathing for the American republic arise randomly. They don't say "Death to Japan" because Japan wasn't the nation that overthrew their democratically elected government under Mossadegh. Hundreds of Iranians died during Operation Ajax.

For me, the real question is why do Iranians only chant against USA and Israel, when Britain was equally neck deep in the overthrow of Mossadegh and the installation of British Petroleum as part of a western monopoly in Shah era Iran?

From browsing lots of channels yesterday, it seems very likely Americans did not cooperate with Israel on the attacks on Iran yesterday and didn't even intervene on behalf of Israel to counter Iran. Trump's warning to Israel that they would be 'alone' sounds like a repeat of several US Presidents who finally put their foot down to try to reign in Israel.
We must not ignore that the Americans want out and Netanyahu's goals are significantly different from America's.

For me, the real question is why do Iranians only chant against USA and Israel, when Britain was equally neck deep in the overthrow of Mossadegh and the installation of British Petroleum as part of a western monopoly in Shah era Iran?

There are often anti-British chants, and there is long-standing suspicion and resentment (particulary in the seminaries).

Interesting video. While of this video talks about the alleged / rumored Pakistan-Iran leadership phone call about Iran testing a nuke, the head of the Iranian Quds force is hinting toward deeper cooperation with various regional Iranian allies to counter Israel. The conflict needs to be taken to Israel's borders and Lebanon can't be the only one bearing the weight for that.
