Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

From ISW:

  1. The United States has continued to strike Iranian military targets, including some targets further inland. Iranian regime media reported on July 15 that US forces struck the Artesh Ground Forces 388th Mechanized Assault Brigade barracks in Iranshahr, Sistan and Baluchistan Province. This strike is notable given that the 388th Brigade is located around 200 kilometers from the Iranian coast, while most US airstrikes in July have been concentrated around Iran’s southern coast. The Artesh has conducted operations throughout the war and most recently claimed on July 15 that it conducted drone strikes targeting US forces at Muwaffaq Salti Airbase in Azraq, Jordan.
  2. Iraqi media reported on July 15 that an unknown actor launched six drones targeting Erbil International Airport and the US Consulate in Erbil, Erbil Province. It is unclear whether Iran or Iranian-backed Iraqi militias conducted this attack.
  3. Iran is attacking vessels that have adopted alternative mechanisms to bypass Iranian control of the Strait of Hormuz. Iran attacked three vessels in the strait on July 13, two of which were doing “shuttle runs,” or repeated short trips to ports outside the strait in order to transport oil through the strait while avoiding Iranian territorial waters.
  4. Iran’s attacks on shipping are having some success in deterring shipping companies from using routes outside Iran’s illegal traffic separation scheme, which advances Iran’s objective of securing control over the strait. Seven maritime security and shipping industry sources told Reuters on July 15 that shipping companies are avoiding using the southern route despite US military escorts, highlighting how shipping companies’ willingness to use alternative routes in the strait is dependent on their risk calculations.
Looks like they attacked Iranian troops in Baluchistan to help their terrorists bla, brac, jundullah, and Jaish Al adl. Pakistan should also be concerned

They didn't bomb the hospital itself, they bombed a nearby place which caused massive shockwaves and they had to evacuate the hospital as well. Pretty sick, but we must rely on facts not emotions.
They play on the scare factor. Bombing a nearby place is enough to suggest its another vile act on civilian population.
Iran now has the right to attack similar targets.
You allow American bases in your land - you are askimg to be attacked today

The Gulf countries allowed the US to host bases for their own protection, not for attacks on any other country. How does that make these countries legitimate targets?

And the immense restraint being shown by these Gulf countries is beyond my imagination. However, there will eventually come a time when they start to retaliate. And these Gulf Countries have thousands of Bombs and Missiles for Ground operations using their state of their Air Forces. They can really take the war to Iran when they eventually decide enough is enough......and they can replenish weapons very quickly from all around the globe with the kind of money they have.

Why people like you want GCC countries to be targetted is also beyond me.

The biggest takeaway, from a military perspective, in all this is Iran's either unwillingness or inability to hit US Navy assets that are at sea. From a capabilities perspective, Iranian missiles and drones have done extensive damage to Israel and American assets throughout the region, they can't stop it, the only thing stopping more destruction on the ground are Iranian launch rates.

But, there is no credible evidence that a navy ship has been hit while at sea. No carriers, destroyers, or anything. There have been reports that Iran launched anti-ship missiles, but no side has shown that anything has been hit.

Imagine how bad all this would look for the US if Iran could also deal with ships at sea, combined with what they can do on the ground with missiles and drones.
The ships are 1) our of range of Iranian missiles and 2) always moving; so it is not easy to target them.

Perhaps the outcome of the conflict would have been different if Iran had the capability to hit US Ships.

If you want to play retarded, that's a different matter. But when your territory is used to launch an attack on a sovereign nation and you provide logistics for the war, you're complicit and responsible for all the consequences. Just as simple as that.
I agree, if those countries are being used to attack you then you are a legitimate target but those countries have repeatedly stated that no attacks on Iran are being conducted using their bases so Iran has no legitimate right to attack them.

It is the exact same as the US attacking Iran because it can get away with it and Iran attacking whomever it can, as long as it contines to get away with it.

And stay civil when engaging me!

What they have said is irrelevant when even a random civilian like you on the internet can check that their territory is actively being used for the logistics of this war. Just look at Flight Radar, for example.

I can punch you in the face and say it wasn't me. Does that make me innocent?

Yeah, the problem is that they can't get away with it. And that's why people want these "GCC" statelets to be targeted for legitimate reasons. That was your original question, wasn't it?

Looks like the show is back on. Incredible strike from 1000 KM away

GCC bases, land, ports, airspace and radar information are being used by the US to attack Iran and to protect Israel. This makes the GCC itself legitimate targets.

The GCC has done this many times in the past as well with the wars in Iraq, Yemen, Syria and Palestine. They are Western vassals.

Here is just one small example of this. HIMARs being launched from Kuwait and Bahrain at Iran.

Why can't they with all those missiles, drones and advanced spying satellites provided by china?
I think hitting a moving target is far more difficult than hitting a fixed point. These ships can move very fast esp at flank speed. Ballistic missiles are completely useless against moving targets anyway.

Did you post evidence? It is not loading for some reason.

I cannot speculate on what you posted but all these GCC countries have repeatedly stated that attacks on Iran are not being conducted using their countries. Why would they lie if the evidence is out there in the open, especially when Iran can determine where the attacks are being carried out from?

And why would these countries continue to allow the US to launch attacks from within after being attacked repeatedly?

And honestly, my contention and my problem with Iran is not that it is attacking GCC countries. It is more so with its threats that no countries will be allowed to transit the Strait of Hormuz just because Iran is able to target vessels transiting that small area; why should Pakistan be held hostage when Pakistan is neither a party nor in any way a part of the conflict except for efforts to defuse the hostilities? And why should Pakistan pay to transit the Hormuz? I reject that in entirety and if this continues then Pakistan must make sure no Iranian Ship crosses anywhere within our range and beyond, even if the US leaves the area.
