Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

That's not how they think... they're zealots... messianic! If they think the ship is on fire everything should start burning around them as a shot in the arm and a last hurrah. They're headed for a collective suicide for the anointed one! Or anoint someone... and they're not alone a far greater number in the US feels and acts the same way to force the hand of God. The rest is just prep for the anointed... a stacked table and a system to rule the world.

So, either it withers away and collapses or they take all along. There are no back ups. This isn't their first attempt either...
And they feel it is time.

A superpower can only be built by many strategic planners, not by a bunch of one-time gamblers.

The US losses aren't even .1% of what they have lol, Iran has lost a lot but yeah no major goals have been accomplished aside from destroying Iran economically for a few more years but that means nothing to a country that's already running on fumes.

WWII allies won the war after losing 55 million people and losing 2000 ships .... LMAO low iq troll. IRGC the force that has destroyed billions of USD worth EW radars, airbases, aircrafts, has not lost anything and will now rule worlds second largest hydrocarbon owning ancient nation with a toll chokehold over 20% of global oil. They can hit any place inside Israel including nuclear sites if they want to.

Also not a single pint of Iranian oil being exported has been reduced and war may very well end on this node. Stop trolling here.

The longer the war goes, the more Iran will adapt, the more the population will rally, the more entrenched Iran becomes.

Yes, longer it goes, PGCC enters the war officially etc better the outcome will be for Iran in longer terms. Worst will be a ceasefire right now because US, Israelis will regroup, replenish and come back against from arabi soil.

Oh, in the future? Maybe. The problem IMO is doctrinal going forwards. They really should, as you say, have any aircraft at all squirreled away almost permanently underground. But whatever they would procure should be practical for their overall theater strategy. I'm not sure getting 5th or 6th gen planes really fits in that, honestly. They'll be really expensive and complicated to manufacture but for unclear tactical gains.

In the event that they achieve their maximal demands in this war, going forwards in context of a regional conflict with no external actors, what would a plane costing 10-100x what a missile does achieve? ISR honestly can be conducted using cheaper drones. Precision strikes? Combine them with drone ISR. In Ukraine we've seen Molniya/Orlan drones marking and guiding targets for Lancets. Could guide missiles the same way, potentially. And training a drone operator is far cheaper than training a fighter pilot, and the pool of available candidates is also comically larger.

We only have 1-2 underground airbases so far playing no role in war. The attack jets inside them can launch heavy and modern PGMs and long ranged AShCM and LACMs but sending them out will be dangerous. Our only solution in future to have an airforce will be atleast 7-8 underground airbases with massive defence mechanisms at entry points, runways ...

Against US+Israel or NATO any airforce will always be decimated on ground.

Yeah, maybe. My speculation is, as I say, mostly around regional conflicts excluding external actors like the US. But that might not be realistic, as the US, in that scenario, will always be an enemy of Iran, so maybe it's better to just forego the planes and just continue on what they're doing now.

Interesting news to wake up to that Iran may have downed a jet over their airspace. This proves that USA/Israel have localised air superiority over specific areas that allows for even b52s and not absolute superiority and most certainly not air dominance..
Could be from the Kuwait incident. Who knows, too much fog of war right now. Hopefully it's new.
