Iran used its liquid ballistic missiles at the start of the war because refuelling them takes time and is dangerous above ground

At the start of the war Iran had 20-30 mins to get the launchers out fire and roll back underground

Now with US air dominance that had been reduced to less than 10 mins

So Iran switched to its solid state ballistic missiles which can be launched quickly and refuelled below ground

However Iran was running low on Sodium Perchlorate a key ingredient in the manufacture of solid state missiles

They had less than 1,000 tons left which was a enough for 300-400 more missiles which was roughly 10 days supply

Iran new they could not go on for more than 2 weeks and so a ceasefire buys them time to get more chemicals from China to re arm

For every ballistic missile the Americans fired 7-8 interceptors

Interceptors takes months and years to build

Iran can build ballistic missiles in days / weeks

Iran needs less and Americans need more

This pause helps Iran more than it helps USA

So this is why ceasefire was accepted by Iran because even they know situation was getting critical

We have no idea how many missiles Iran has left or in final stages of assembly.

Getting Oman to agree increases the legitimacy of collecting tolls, otherwise Iran will look like a rogue state. Reconstruction will be difficult without additional revenue streams. If tolls don't happen, we can expect other Iranian demands to also not happen.

Is not it poetic the fact Pakistan with The AQ Khan network gave Iran nuclear blueprints 20 years ago. Iran snitched on Pakistan to the Americans. That’s partly why Iran got sanctioned and Pakistan kept its bomb.

20 years later Pakistan is now the mediator between the US and Iran.The country that was snitched on is now fixing the situation for the country that snitched. And walking out as the winner.

Pakistan ends this with its nuclear program intact and a new status as a geopolitical mediator.

The most strategic move the GCC can make right now is follow Saudi Arabia’s lead, sign defense pacts with Pakistan, invest in its economy, and formalize what’s already obvious: Pakistan has the manpower and the bomb.

The Pakistani diaspora in the Gulf makes this economically seamless.

This is the Muslim NATO framework I outlined months ago and that was forming before the war:Turkey, Pakistan, Saudi, Egypt as a counterweight bloc against the secessionist i.e Israel, India, UAE

Pakistan can easily shape a 1.5 million strong military that will be able to basically replace all GCC militaries but they are very shortsighted. All they want to use Pakistan for is their internal petty disputes. In summary, the GCC got a jinni (Pakistan) and all they asked for was a bigged d!ck.

That is not Iran's job. What Iran is demanding are war reparations in lieu... Oman doesn't feel like a party to it... because it will open a can of worms they may not want to be a part of... however once everything has been agreed and a mechanism is set. They may retrospectively join in... which is why I said... keep an escrow.
