Do Achaemenids or any tom, dick or harry of Persia, britain or france have an empire in modern day Egypt? Infact if go by your thinking then Persia, britain and france should Pay Egypt for invading it not the otherway around.

What matters is that what happened 1000s of years ago in different civilization and empires and circumstances hold ZERO value in today's world. That is why Israel's claim of 3000 years ago to being relocated at Palestine is invalid to begin with. If people start settling ancient disputes then world will be over as it stands. Then We should nuke Mongolia for what Genghis khan did with Iran, Iraq and half of the world.

Keep the Hormuz closed and keep the conflict going until Iran can get concessions

Iran is doing the right thing, by refusing to talk until the U.S is more reasonable and stops making demands

The point is that if the legitimacy of your toll system comes from "having built" it, as if it was some sort of investment, then Egypt does not have such legitimacy either. Egypt inherited the Canal of Suez from the Persians, the Brits and the French and we have inherited it from God. I don't see a difference.

I never said Iran "owned" the Strait of Hormuz. State the law that says that Iran cannot control the Strait of Hormuz. Most heavy tankers pass through Iranian territorial waters because the depth of the other part of the strait in its narrowest point is not enough for heavy oil tankers and containers. Iran does not own the strait, but it can certainly administer its own territorial waters.

It does not matter who built the Suez Canal. The only thing that matter is "who holds the Suez Canal".

Iran has the right of territorial water of Strait of Hormuz in a way that it can extract oil, gas etc but when it comes to passing tankers through Strait of Hormuz, international law kicks in. All the straits in world allow fee passage of tankers without any toll tax.

Do you think its fair for Pak or any other Gulf nation to pay $2 million per tanker toll tax when they are sitting not very far from Strait of Hormuz. No one likes it and no one in the world will allow you to charge toll tax.
 
I am starting to believe after reading so many articles about betting on poly-markets, that Trump and his family is using war to his personal benefit (literally a Scum move) while Israel with his agents are keep Trump and his family busy in profits while they use American military power to engage Iran.
I think this peace/ceasefire will collapse given the Americans are not serious, and Trump and his close confidant's are profiting from the war and deaths of innocent people. Tactical Nukes option of USA ( that was discussed earlier in USA podcast)

1) tactical nukes are low yeald nukes. 1-2 km area.

2) using tactical nuke in ground unlike nukes in air have little impact above ground. Specially as bunker buster. Minimal impact under ground.
