Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

Okay? All I said was I wouldn't hold my breath. As US is not leaving the area anytime soon. Not more complicated than that really

You said nothing. But I am saying that the American naval assets will not stay in the north Arabian Sea for very long.

These sounds too good to be true.

I think this deal drama is just to regroup and reorganize the military and equipment and to stabilize the market, then come back again may after mid-terms?

US-Israel did suffer humiliation at the hand if Iran, but they are quick learners, and they will work tirelessly to find antidote to Iranian missiles/drones, specially with the help of AI, and even if we compare the last 3-4 conflicts, i think the interception rate kept getting better, TP-1 was the first real conflict between Iran and Israel/US, and no one knew about Iranian missile power, earlier versions of TP were more devastating, but with each conflict, they are learning more and more about Iranian missile power.
Now its on Iran to not become complacent, and try to bring new stuff to combat with each conflict, and also root out the local mossad/CIA network within Iran.

Yes, the US Naval vessels moving away, which they are supposed to within 30 days of the start of the Deal, will be the pivotal moment. Let's keep an eye on that.

Nailed it.
Basically, Trump is finally seeing the sense in Obama's 'pivot' to the Indo Pacific policy! And as I had said recently in this thread, in the Munir-Trump Private Lunch, Pakistan was given a larger role in the Middle East. And as much as I like Pakistan to stay away from the Middle East, the Middle East can't stay away from Pakistan. So embrace what the geography is imposing on Pakistan!

PS. @Lulldapull and I have been consistent for weeks that the war was essentially over and in our understanding that Iran had the upper hand. I believe we both stand vindicated.
Now is the time for Pakistan to convert this into firm military and economic agreements to lock in a new status quo in the region that effective locks in sanctions relief. If we see how Iran’s relations with the UAE have been shattered, and this can’t be understated, we should offer up Gwadar as Iran’s port to the world, come what may. Iranians can invest into this port and if we see what that has done for Dubai, if only a fraction of that comes to Gwadar it will have vindicated all the investment into that port.

Equally, Pakistan must extract military modernization and financing for its troops in the GCC. The strain of deploying two squadron of fighters and a few thousands of air defense troops should not be at the expense of the Pakistan military.

The Saudis stated they may need up to 80,000 troops (soldiers/airmen/seamen,etc.) from Pakistan. IMHO, these Pakistani troops should be built up to the level of troops they would be replacing from the US; basically Pakistan needs its contingent equipped and supported to the level of the USMC, under their Force 2030 design. Iran and Israel have shown themselves to have near-peer level capabilities to the US, so equipping Pakistani troops with anything less than the USMC would be akin to leaving to be cannon fodder like some of the troops deployed to Yemen over the last 10 years.

With the US phasing out a good percentage of its forces from the region, this should be the time for the Saudis and other GCC to help build up the Pakistan Navy and Air Force, to protect the SLOCs east of Suez to the straits of Malacca and have the Air Force keep an adequate eye on both Iran and Israel. Pakistan with its position east of Iran and good relations with Iraq, Syria, Jordan could operate ISR aircraft all the way to Central Asia (with operations over Afghanistan).

But considering Pakistan wants economic business with Iran, it will be a peacekeeper. A good balance for the region.

BREAKING: IRAN STATEMENT ON PEACE DEAL

Iran Supreme National Security Council Statement:

“The Islamic Republic of Iran, under the leadership of its martyred leader, has completed its superiority over the American Zionist enemy and, under the measures of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic (may God protect him), the support of all the people and the tireless efforts of the warriors of Islam, following a difficult and intensive period of negotiations lasting several months and based on the resolution of the Supreme National Security Council, finalized the text of the Memorandum of Understanding on the End of War Negotiations (Islamabad Negotiations) between Iran and the United States on the evening of June 14.

Based on the agreements reached, the war and military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon, will end immediately and permanently as of tonight, and in addition, the naval blockade against Iran will be immediately and completely ended.

The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding will be officially held on Friday, June 19.

Negotiations for a final agreement will be postponed until after the other party fulfills its obligations in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding. The Islamic Republic of Iran appreciates the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Government of Qatar.”

Anything worthwhile revealed or was it a bluff?

How can you all believe this nonsense that trump is upset with satanyahoo. This is for US domestic consumption only. Let's hope this deal is as good as it's currently being portrayed for Iran.

OTOH for Gaza, well, what can be said. Sad. Not much Iran could do, so i blame the Arabs for that

Lebanon, well, only a fool would thing Israel will give up that land in southern Lebanon.

Bad cop good cop will continue till US gets to destroy Iran's nuclear material. And if it does, then Iran would have made the biggest blunder ever. Let's hope it's Iran that is playing the US & Israel this time around

You said nothing. But I am saying that the American naval assets will not stay in the north Arabian Sea for very long.
Arabian Sea maybe they won't, but they'll still hang around other areas and not completely leave the area.

Wouldn't hold my breath otherwise That's all I was trying to say. No need to make something more out of it

It is not an American defeat. More like an Israeli debacle. And hence the Israelis are very upset.

In Israel, Broad Discontent Over the Emerging U.S. Deal With Iran

Israelis across the political spectrum have said the deal appears to leave fundamental security threats posed by Iran unaddressed.

The main headline of Sunday’s Yediot Aharonot, a popular Hebrew daily, summed up in two words the prevailing sentiment in Israel over President Trump’s emerging cease-fire agreement with Iran: “Bad Deal.”

Israel waged two wars against Iran in the past year, the most recent one the campaign launched in late February with U.S. forces. Now Israel, which had not been a party to the Trump administration’s negotiations with Iran, is being left out of the potential peace.

Even before the announcement came on Sunday that a cease-fire agreement had been reached, the details that had surfaced in news media reports prompted a flood of criticism and expressions of discontent from Israelis spanning the country’s political spectrum.

American and Iranian officials have said that under an initial “memorandum of understanding,” Iran would reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a critical shipping route for the global economy, and the United States would lift its blockade on Iranian ports. The cease-fire that the two sides agreed to in April would be extended for 60 days. During that period, both sides would commit to holding detailed negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program, and over the lifting of U.S. sanctions on Iran.
If the deal is signed on Friday, it will signal the humiliation of Netanyahu, in the eyes of Israelis. On polymarket, the head of the IDF, is ahead to win the prime ministership in October, even though his party was just formed in 2025. The aim being to blame everything on Netanyahu and try to wash Israel’s collective hands of the past 3 years of atrocities at the very least.

Time is now when the Iron is hot...

Get in before it gels over again in its new form. So that tomorrow's framework is drawn now... with acute awareness and deliberation... weakness pervades weakness... those who need crutches find them... both physical and abstract.
There is a lot to catch up on...
There is a lot of strategic maneuvering needed to both secure and counter future hostile or destabilizing actors. Reclaim the space and alleviate the masses from stagnation.

RAV4 hybrid!

I've rented several. If I were ever to purchase such a vehicle, as a current owner of two Toyota Tacomas, a RAV4 hybrid would be my SUV of choice.

You can never beat the adrenalin of a full ICE engine of a RAV4 on the highway.
Hybrids are slower.
just saying...

Trump forced Iran to submit with nothing but empty promises that would inevitably collapse, without taking any concrete action. It’s obvious what will happen next. Israel will relentlessly bomb Lebanon and Yemen to dismantle their alliances. The U.S. will ramp up missile production, infiltrate spies into Iran, and prepare for a surprise attack. Once those preparations are complete, they will demand Iran’s surrender. If refused, they will bomb the country, it’s as simple as that. I’m a bit dumbfounded by people who keep getting duped like this time and time again.

OMG! You and the 'Brazilian Experts' are something!

Straight from the Horse's Mouth. There is no ambiguity about what's coming up. Thanks for posting that.

I don't want to quibble too much on this but the context of your posts and mine was about the north Arabian Sea. I don't think the American naval assets will be in that region for very long while you can say 'I won't hold my breath' like nonsequitor; a certain Pakistan-American in this forum is the master of 'water is wet' posts. You are not that, as far as I can tell. Anyway, you and every American, including me, should be glad that the American 'boys' are going to be coming home instead of dying for Netanyahu. 14 dead and many casualties for Netanyahu are enough. Too much!

i think we all should wait a bit and let things flow. There's been alot of hardship and people are hopeful things can get better globally.
The Iranians, the Americans and the Pakistanis know much more and hence the tweets and announcements. Peace deserves a chance and Pakistan has worked diligently hard with all sides along with Turkiye and Qatar.
Seems some people/countries are not happy with the role of Pakistan......but then they're irrelevant anyway, if confirmation needed, just ask the Iranians and ask the Americans.....

Trump broke the agreement in just one day. He explicitly stated that he would resume attacks if Iran did not capitulate in the nuclear negotiations. So, how do those who supported the negotiations explain this? How many times must Iran be mocked and deceived? This situation has arisen even before the memorandum of understanding has been signed. I have said this many times: this is a classic tactic of aggression disguised as a peace offensive. It is a time-honored method dating back to ancient times, where one constantly advocates for a ceasefire and peace to dissuade the opponent from counterattacking, while gradually chipping away at their territory in the meantime. It’s about time you learned this.
