Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

You are still arguing against a point I never made. I never said Iran should remain quiet or abandon deterrence. My point is that Iran failed to convert its strongest moment of leverage into a favourable political outcome.

And no, Iran’s leverage is not permanent just because the Strait of Hormuz is beside it. The US is now intercepting tankers and choking Iranian exports while Iran can do little but watch. So much for leverage that apparently never increases or decreases.

The US could use a ceasefire to rearm, but so could Iran. If negotiations were pointless, why did Iran sign the MoU, and why is Pezeshkian still offering reciprocal compliance?

Iran successfully avoided immediate surrender. The IRGC then mistook survival for superiority and squandered the advantage it had created.

Your argument is based on assumption that it will be the strongest leverage it will ever get. What you failed to see is that it is indirectly holding the world hostage through oil consumption.

Despite more than 6 months of fighting, US is still not able to break that leverage, either through economic sanctions or military actions. Another point that you also failed to see is that Iran has time on its side, while Trump does not.

If Iran could wait for Carter to leave before negotiating for the release of hostages between 79 to 81, I don't see why it cannot do it this time around again. History has a way of repeating itself, and as long as Iran has not surrendered, the opportunity to convert it into a favourable political outcome is always there.

Signing an MoU doesn't exactly means weakness, the way you are trying to frame it. Iran is utilising both diplomacy and deterrence to achieve its goals here. No country survives a conflict relying on just one method. The only difference is Iran was smart enough to know that US will never hold onto it's end of the deal, and will go back on it. Time in the end was right, and US did call off the negotiations.

So did Iran lost a lot of leverage? No because it was bound to happen with Trump at the helm. He is not trustworthy and eventually Nethanyahu would be the one advising him to call off.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Wednesday that two oil tankers exploded after hitting mines in the Strait of Hormuz

Fake News. They said the same thing yesterday as well. Everytime IRGC has said a tanker hit a mine, it’s been a lie. Both sides are just lying randomly at this point.

No, my argument is not that this was the strongest leverage Iran could ever theoretically obtain. It is that Iran had usable leverage at that moment and failed to convert it into gains. Since then, its oil exports have collapsed, its tankers are being intercepted and the US is operating around Hormuz while Iran largely watches. That is a measurable loss of leverage, not an assumption.

The Strait allows Iran to hurt the world, but closing it also cuts Iran’s own economic lifeline. Geography is permanent, usable leverage is not.

I never said signing the MoU showed weakness. I said it proves Iran itself considers agreements and negotiations useful.

Iran may still eventually secure a favorable outcome, but “it has not surrendered” is not proof that it has lost nothing. Survival, leverage and victory are three different things.

The Iranian currency has depreciated against USD by another 20% in less than 2 weeks.

And nobody in Iran is saying anything. They want to make people angry :)

I am sure Iran will survive low intensity warfare for 2 years, but I am 100% sure Iran will not survive economically like this before Trump leaves the office.

Very Rusty and Poor Quality - Aircraft Carrier travelled during 20 months including Iran

If it was so rusty and poor quality, then why did Iran not manage to hit the carrier in 6 months of war?

Salt water rusts ships. Cant avoid chemistry. Doesn’t mean anything.

South America is totally anti-Iran now. US has installed puppets all over the place and maybe somethings wrong with their people as well. Look how happily Venezuelan accepted that their leader was kidnapped by US.

So many South American nations are now totally under zionists influence recently.

1. Declared the IRGC a Terrorist Organization
    • Argentina (March/April 2026): Under President Javier Milei, Argentina officially designated the IRGC as a terrorist organization. The presidential office directly linked the IRGC to the financing and support of Hezbollah, which Argentina holds responsible for the 1994 AMIA Jewish community center bombing in Buenos Aires.
    • Ecuador (September 2025): President Daniel Noboa signed a decree blacklisting the IRGC alongside Hamas and Hezbollah. The decree cited intelligence reports regarding the group's presence in South America and potential ties to domestic organized crime.
    • Paraguay (April 2025): Under President Santiago Peña, Paraguay formally added the IRGC to its terror list and expanded designations on Iranian proxy networks to target both their operational and political wings.

2. Ended Diplomatic Relations with Iran
    • Peru (September 2026): Peru completely severed formal diplomatic relations with Iran. The Peruvian Foreign Ministry cited a stark "deterioration of democratic values" within Iran, its domestic human rights violations, its obstruction of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and Iran's disruption of international maritime trade in the Strait of Hormuz. Consular-only ties were preserved through a concurrent mission in Ecuador to protect nationals

Apart from these, Venezuela, Columbia and maybe few others recently installed with pro-US / pro-Israel leaders (puppets).

    A continent of slaves.

If Iran is not selling oil then who else is out of the PG right now?

Your Abbu-G?

What Zion?

Iran runnin da show no? who else? Munira whiskey in Bradford? you think?

:p

You are by far the most delusional person lol. Each and single post of yours is a good dose of laughter only. I can't understand how one can be so afraid of truth and don't want to accept the reality.

Do you think US military was escorting Iranian tankers from PG during these last so many weeks? lol. Iran cannot sell a pint of oil without US approval and that's a reality and only people with integrity can accept this reality. Blind followers/worshippers do not have integrity enough to accept the facts. Also there is open data available that lots of tankers of others passed from SOH in last few weeks with US escorts. That is reason why US is getting so much bold and hitting targets inside Iran every now and then.

The achievement of Iran is that its still able to fire missiles even after such relentless bombing campaign of US & Israel for first 40 days and then in phase-2. But don't take firing missiles as "Iran running da show" lol. US navy blockade is effectively running the show that who passes through SOH. If Iran is able to hit and sink US navy ships parked outside Iran then you can say that yes Iran is running the show.
