Iran - Israel/US War: Israel-US declare war on Iran, Iran responds

yes

unclear but probably not

I disagree.

Since the beginning of the missile industry in Iran, we had continuous attacks by Iraq, and then we saw the threats of America and Israel every year.

I don't think something important is on the ground.

Israel claims they used 100 fighter jets

you think they used 100 fighter jets to fire 4 ALBMs?
Being a little more critical, we do not know if it was really 100 fighters or 100 aircraft (it could involve several other aircraft with different functions).

.You prepare for war during peacetime

Saying that Iranian leadership was foolish that it never extended the IADS into Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon during peacetime. They could have easily put mobile HIMAD/SHORAD batteries there and connected them with radar network starting from OTHs in Iran for initial search/detection while tracking can be done in real time by mobile units. In 3-4 years they could have trained these militaries. Instead they relied upon entrenchment tactics.
They kept on sending ground forces which worked yes because, despite the aerial bombing in Syria, IRGC's ground control has just increased and increased in size, but such tactics allowed the enemy to dominate the airspace. This is happening in Lebanon now. You prepare for war during peacetime. Offcourse militaries learn from mistakes.
Hi,

It is very difficult to change the mindset of 'Old Guard'.

If Iran had established its mobile batteries in the areas you mentioned and kept on a high number of strikes on enemy assets---results would be different today---.

China is not really a good ally interms of coming to your aid when you need it, as does Russia so far. Look how quickly Russia delivered new systems to Iran in this recent flairup. China will never do that. China only wants money from you - and that in dollars!!

China has been an excellent ally to Pakistan but that is getting off topic so I will not belabor the point.

SLBMs and a fleet of submarines that can launch them, even if they are conventional, are still the most expensive and difficult part of a nuclear triad. For Iran, which has its biggest enemies close by, the use of BMs - MRBM/IRBM/ICBM - is the most practical and easy way to implement. In addition, Iran's geography also becomes an ally factor in creating a nuclear system based on road vehicles for BM launches.

I still think Iranian sub fleet in the Mediterranean would be worth it.

It would force Israel to defend on two fronts and also give pause to Europeans on helping Israel or attacking Iran if Iran can target them directly in return.

Iran does need to rethink its precision attack capabilities for sure. Look how Israel hit specific buildings, whereas Iran struggled to target specific targets, but "areas" where targets are located, in the 'hope' that they hit it. I do think that they have that realisation now though. Lessons learnt, and improvement plans will be put in place for sure.

Israel is sitting on the shoulders of almost a century of Western experience while Iran is learning things by itself, so there is bound to be some disparity.

Iranian missiles are good enough for the most part but there is always room for improvement.
