Yemen unbelievably resistant to US/Israel attacks, Israel admits "Yemen is completely different from Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas"

hinting at primary sanctions relief for Iran ... a step further than JCPOA (which only lifted secondary sanctions)

What's the latest on these negotiations.

I'm hoping the US recognises the Iranian nuclear program and ends all sanctions. In return, Iran signs security guarantees not to politically interfere in Gulf Arab countries.

Or is that too much to ask?

... The United States is well aware that Iran has found a viable path for a religious state to achieve industrialization, emerging as a beacon for Shiite organizations.Lifting sanctions on Iran would also quickly alter the existing order in the Middle East region.Sunni countries also perceive that lifting sanctions on Iran by the United States would effectively acknowledge Iran’s status as a regional power. ...
Not really. A lot of trade deals between Gulf Arab countries and Iran can overcome differences and hostilities.

I think this what both sides want at the moment rather the trying to remove each other's Governments.

It would be absolutely foolish for Iran to give up Nuclear enrichment. All that Hard Work to be dismantled, and no guarantee that they won't attack you once they have defanged you.

Both Iraq and Libya were attacked after they gave up their nuclear programs.

If anything I think Iran should be building more facilities deep deep underneath mountains, and buying S-400s, Beriev A-100s, Su-35s and further deepening their air defenses.

Sanctions don't mean anything especially when the Emergence of China and the Breakoff of Russia from the West is diminishing their potential. If Iran is able to hang on a bit longer, that Sanctions hegemony is going to collapse on its own with China's growth/markets. The US cannot stay in the Middle East Long Term anyways, its pivoting towards the East Asia confrontation. Its already withdrawing from Europe. Iran just needs time and patience.

"Near a peak of the Zagros Mountains in central Iran, workers are building a nuclear facility so deep in the earth that it is likely beyond the range of a last-ditch U.S. weapon designed to destroy such sites, according to experts and satellite imagery analyzed by The Associated Press."

deepest facility yet is under construction under Zagros mountains next to the existing Natanz enrichment site

Such claims can lead to underestimation or hubris. Iraqi defenses downed dozens of NATO aircraft in war in 1991. If the war had been limited to airstrikes, Iraq would have claimed victory. The US aimed to stop anti-shipping activity in Red Sea, no army was deployed to capitalize on the exploits of the Air Force to defeat Houthi on the ground like in 1991. Houthi can claim victory but they agreed to not attack ships in Red Sea like in the past so maybe they too realize that they should not give the US an opportunity to expand the war.

Israel attacked Iran in 2024 and produced effects they desired. Therefore, operational realities of one region may not be a good predictor of the operational realities in another region.

Iran can put up a fight and attack different locations in the ME but also have many high value targets that can be struck. The best option would be to prevent war and find a way forward.

Yemen has a population of 40 million and is a large mountainous country.

It's not a comparison to hamas or Hezbollah groups in small countries of Lebanon or gaza

Unfortunately, We do not lake people in our own Government who would love to get down and dirty with the U.S for a promise of some U.S dollars!

North Korea went Nuclear , did anything happen to it ? Past 10 years ?
Nothing

There you go

Sometimes simplest explanation is best

In hindsight, Khamenei looks a lot like Emperor Jiajing of China's Ming Dynasty. Pity about Suleimani.
