When have you ever seen the Chinese government do anything as stupid and reckless as you claim?

If the Chinese government agrees to sell fighter jets, then it is bound to be a complete combat system including fighter jets, and it is bound to have Iranian pilots trained in China until they are combat ready.

China won't take the bet lightly if it can't ensure victory. If China bets on it, that means Israel is bound to lose the next war. The Chinese government's style has always been so efficient and cautious, which is why it never loses.

The best stopgap option for Iran should be going for second hand J 10A & J 10B that can be upgraded to CE, also get some off the self secondhand AEWAC / EW and other force multiplier aircraft and get mercenaries to fly them. You can immediately buy a fighter jet but training a pilots takes years. And to make them experienced take a decade atleast. That's where iran lacks seriously.

Our first pilots took several months training in Liaoning, North China before dog fighting with American air force with Mig-17. And they killed two American fighter aircrafts (2 F-8U) in the first ever fighting on 03 April 1965, without loss. Before that, most of them were poorly educated village teenagers. They were selected and sent immediately to China.

Different time requires different method. But decade duration is too long.

The Iran war is about the US national debt, not that railroad.

If he doesn't agree, then the option of putting outbound tax on those goods should be exercised. Then it will be a waiting game of how long Trump can take te pain and public backlash of extremely high prices. China on the other hand, I don't think will have to endure too much pain.

Trump's bottom line is a 20% tariff.

In fact, Trump knows very well that manufacturing is unlikely to return to the U.S. His series of actions have only two purposes:

The West wants to continue promoting the narrative that Chinese technology is inferior and unproven. They are desperate to claim that the Rafales loss in the Pak-India war was a fluke.

What choice Iran has? Russia was not even as a supplier before Ukraine war.
The only way out is to get some J-10E, HQ-9B, HQ-16, HQ-19, AWAC, ground base radars, and allowed to use satellites network. If funding is available, a few type 054A/B or type 052D can reduce being attacked from sea

An Indian source claims Iran has cancelled its SU-35 order. Even if that turns out to be false, the SU-35 still doesn’t hold up against the F-35 anyway. Most of the IRIAF fleet is made up of outdated aircraft that can’t reliably defend Iranian airspace anymore. The J-10C could be a solid force multiplier in the short term, and down the line, once the J-35 is ready, China might just offer it to Iran as a serious upgrade. It’s definitely time for Iran to replace its aging jets with modern 4+ generation platforms.
