Iranian Air Force (IRIAF/IRGC-ASF) | News and Discussions

One thing I was curious about is why does it look so similar to qaher 313.

Even the name has the 31 in it. Is there some sort of link?

On the wiki page it says

1⁄4-scale model was introduced in a Chinese exhibition in 2012. Qaher was shown 2013 and was also quite small.

It looks nothing like Q-313 mock up. It’s Chinese reverse engineered F-35, the similarities are undeniable. China had hacked into the UK and got the blueprints years ago + supporting tech.

They call it J-31 or J-35. Not sure the difference. But it has gone by both names.

Russia is different from Iran. The US needs Russia in the UN Security Council. Russia is a permanent member of the UN Security Council and it's the only country that can challenge the US in terms of nuclear weapons. Russia continues to have great influence in the Caucasus, Central Asia and Eastern Europe. Iran has none of these.

Didn't Putin openly welcome discussing their issues with Trump? Knowing Trump, do you think Trump would make an enemy of Putin?
That doesn't mean that Iran is giving up from its Eastern European major influence, but could offer Ukraine to Russians for some other parts...

Usa is obstacle for Russia in all these 3 areas, no one give a damn for pathetic un and after Hruscov and Kennedy is clear that even in case of personal relationship between them, or being friends with benefits, geopolitical ideology is so deeply rooted in society and there is no romance able to overcome it...

Why on earth would anyone buy non-combat proven systems? Maybe. Stealing the tech for indigenous uses.

Otherwise useless.

Ok, I was just asking based on the colour similarities of it from the wiki page rather than the actual design itself.

You can see it here with similar colour to the q-313

I understand that that's not the correct way to compare, but still curious to why the colours are similar

Upon closer inspection, more than a decade ago, the two planes had vastly different colors, shapes, and structures

sorry. I don't quite understand, “hacked into the UK”??"blueprints years ago + supporting tech"?? What are you talking about?

Do you know that J-31 started flying in 2012?

Of course, the Q-313 looks nothing like the J-31. After all, The J-31 already flew in 2012........... After the takeoff of J-31 in 2012. Then a group of backward agricultural countries also believe that they can manufacture fifth generation fighter jets.

and
J-31 serves PLAAF.
J-35 service PLAN.

Did you know Chinese hacking of the JSF program (what F-35 program was called back then) happened pre-2009 and continued thru 2017?

Chinese hackers extracted many TBs of confidential sensitive data on F-35 program over the years according to Snowden leaks.

If you are trying to push the narrative that J-31/35 is NOT based on stolen F-35 data/tech then don’t waste your time. Chinese military tech espionage efforts are well known.

Then a group of backward agricultural countries also believe that they can manufacture fifth generation fighter jets.

Who is this ‘group of backward agricultural countries’?

Are you trying to claim Iran is backwards agricultural country? If so, what is its top exports in agriculture?

1, Do you believe that China had hacking technology in 2009?

2, What is the concrete evidence of China's invasion of the JSF program?

3, Which country has the best hacking technology in the world?

4, Based on your logic, what is the technical source of Q-313?

5, What is the specific evidence of China's military tech espionage efforts?

6, Are you sure you know what technology is?

7, Some backward agricultural countries are recognized as military spy centers. But we cannot see any military progress in these backward agricultural countries. Why?

sorry. I don't know what agricultural products the backward agricultural countries can export, but I do know what industrial products the backward agricultural countries cannot make.

More SU-35, SU-57 delivers, which [hopefully] bodes well for Iran and the SU-35 Saga.

@Emirzad

Fits this alleged timeline perfectly. A month ago I posted a link here:

https://simpleflying.com/how-many-fighter-jets-produced-globally-2024/

If we go by this then RuAF will get a batch of 10-12 x SU-35S by end of 2024 and next year won't be any different. If IRIAF is to get any new Russian-made airframes after the ex-Egyptian batch of 24, then they can't be in production before 2026-27.

This simply implies that the leadership should get a local Assembly Line ASAP or focus on SU-57 because by the time SU-35S order is completed the 4++ gen will already be obsolete in front of 5th generation.

I agree with your SU-35 point. I think best bet for is to go for SU-75 local assembly line with joint assistance. Russia is already courting India to join the project. Spend the next 3-5 years building the infrastructure to be able to assemble the SU-75 locally. Keep the order for 24 Egyptian SU-35’s

Have Russia supply 48 SU-57s and mothball the F-14s for a rainy day. While no country has gotten SU-57 from Russia, Putin has offered it to Turkey in its way to pull Turkey from NATO orbit. Then when Turkey went TFX project route it offered strategic technical assistance.

Thus you will have:
24 SU-35’s
12 Yak-130
75-100 SU-75 (assembly to start by 2030)
48 SU-75
?? Future Iranian fighter jet
?? Kowsar next gen

I know it’s a long long shot.

If Iran is serious about this then it should start development of its own radar, ew systems and missiles to put on these jets.

Russian radar, EW systems and missiles will be inferior to what Iran can develop within the next 5-10 years.
