Reports indicate assembly line set up a while ago and first operational units will be out February. Seems unreasonable fast to me.Question is if the production line has already been adapted at HESA or wherever these are to be assembled.

Both Partisan and Jangavar have confirmed via what they called credible and reliable sources.Reza on Twitter is repeating what Babak Taghvaee (not a journalist anymore) was saying few months back.
Total number of Yak-130 in Iran right now = 12
Total number of SU-35S in Iran right now = 2 (Total 24 due)
The rumor of SU-35S assembly line and SU-30SM for training is yet to be confirmed by journalistic sources.
I'm also of the opinion that the assembly line must be up and running. Iran usually releases information when such things are already done. Just like the missiles it decides to inuagurate. I pray that this true. Missile centric warfare will still dominate their defence doctrine but it is always nice to have pretty new birds in the skyReports indicate assembly line set up a while ago and first operational units will be out February. I have heard in Hamadan? Wherever it is, I hope and trust that they are well protected for the next round of Israel's attack...I'm also of the opinion that the assembly line must be up and running. There is something called Electronic WarfareOf course upgrading the airforce is a must for Iran. One other thing that will be key is interceptors UAVs which can carry 1-2 short- mid range air to air missiles. They have already incorporated the majid missile on karrar but they need something with more range and speed than karrar. It would not even have to be much larger than karrar. Imagine a force comprising of even 1000-2000 of such relatively small UAVs.
You could swarm the skies with such systems. No the autonomous technology is not there yet to have such UAVs counter advanced fighter jets in a one to one basis but you don’t need to! Having swarm of such uavs in the skies means the enemy will either have to scurry away or stay and shoot these UAVs down otherwise risk getting shot down.
Such an approach would suite the IRGC and I am honestly surprised they have not gone down this route yet (not that I know of anyway!). UCAVs with air to air capability will play an immmense role in the future so I hope Artesh’s Air force is also working on this as well, but I feel IRGC is more likely to high number of such UAVs in the future due to their better mass production capabilities.
Iran should be trying to rebuild/upgrade F-14 Tomcat, beautiful 4th generation plane.

lol, who said buy, here some people suggested iran build f-14 and i point to them the era of such interceptor is ended and we need to aim for building a light to medium multi-role fighter jet that interestingly outperform that interceptor if configured for air-to air combatNo western platform can be trusted and they won't even sell to Iran either!
