The dictator's minions want to shift the blame for their defeats from the dictator onto Pezeshkian :ROFLMAO:

Guys, Khamenei is the commander in chief but he will ofcourse be influenced by the likes of Pezeshkian.

Nevertheless the order to not send troops is 100% the decision of the commander in chief.

Most depressing is who will repay the billions invested in Syria? And the hundreds that died there? Who is responsible for this failed policy ?

The good news is no more Iranian money and lives will be wasted there from now on.

when you get war damage from Iraq which is 20 time more you get that investment back.
at least now we won't spend 5 billion/year on a failed government and failed country let others do that.

and supreme leader have his own office and his own advisors

let ask you what was punishment for a intelligence minister whom his ministry failed again and again? he imposed on the government as the next intelligence minister.
what will happen to managers that fail their posts? they will become manager on some other company.

when was the last time someone arrested and sentenced for incompetence ?

Khamenei has been pouring billions of dollars into the levant yearly for the past 30 years. Trillions if you account for economic loss from sanctions. You're telling me that Pezeshkian casually asked him to stop and he said ok?

everybody even the opposition even the people, ......
Very true, It's the opposition and the people's fault that the murderous dictator is not overthrown, Yet. This enabled him to do what he did....

Atleast the shipment is coming back to Iran instead of being wasted

Hamas gone, Hezbollah leadership gone, Assad is about to go .... The Priority of Akhoonds is still Hijab.
Bibi said they will change the Middle East. they did it. Salami and his cadre of IRGC generals said a lot of shit, they didn't deliver any of it. big difference.

Commander of the Zeynab brigade of the IRGC-QF (the Syria unit), came on state TV and said that the Syrian army will turn the page around "in days" and Jolani will be defeated.

total disorder and incompetence in the highest levels of IRI.

we can make a deal with the new Syrian regime to continue supply of oil (they now have a large population that wants to keep the lights on, after all) in exchange for payment of prior debts and their turning a blind eye against Iran using Syria as logistical route towards Lebanon

otherwise, withdraw entirely and do not incur any further losses (of men or money)

"Estimates suggest that Iran has provided Syria with loans, military aid, and oil shipments amounting to between $30 billion and $50 billion. A significant portion of this includes oil exports, with around $11 billion worth of oil sent to Syria between 2012 and 2021. The support also includes cash aid, credit lines estimated at $12 billion, and reconstruction projects.

The debt has grown over time, and repayment prospects remain uncertain due to Syria's economic challenges. Iran has sought compensation through control of strategic sectors in Syria, such as energy and infrastructure, but these measures have not fully offset its expenditures"

$50 billion down the drain to make Syrians hate us

not the wisest financial decision for a country under economic embargo by the West

imagine what we could have used $50 billion for internally. at least we no longer need to spend billions per year in Syria.

Don't forget Iraq still owes us billions of dollars for oil debts, and only partially repays us through specific humanitarian banking channels when the US permits them to do so.
