Iranian Foreign & Resistance Front Strategy & Operations

It’s better than Nasrallah is gone. Incompetence should have consequences. His incompetence led to deaths of 500+ HZ soldiers including at least top chain of command leaders + whoever died with him tonite.

He set many red lines that he failed to uphold including Beruit and strikes on top officials.

In the end, his failure to uphold red lines led to his own demise.
we cannot blame one man for his top commanders refusing to leave the comfort of their Beirut apartments, or for Israel's world leading intelligence capabilities.

he tried to balance many considerations to prevent massive destruction of Lebanon.

is it even possible for a NSA to establish true lasting deterrence against the most powerful military in the region? probably not, especially with that proximity and the internal challenges of Hezbollah and the US/West's unlimited support for Israel.

Nasrallah's biggest mistake was not anticipating the risk that October 8th solidarity strikes could lead to war with Israel. he obviously tried very hard to avoid that war, but in the end he couldn't avoid it without accepting defeat and withdrawing, so he boxed himself into a losing position.

if he was martyred it was with honour for refusing to abandon the Palestinians in Gaza.

his successor is not likely to show as much restraint.

one of the biggest takeaways from today: if Tasnim News (or any other Iranian source) says someone survived an assassination attempt, they are definitely dead.

Can’t wait to hear how pro-incompetence crowd on here spins this one.

The mental gymnastics they will have to jump thru to rationalize how this is nothing and Israel is weak to do such a decapitation strike.

Hamas/Islamic Jihad = destroyed and severely damaged

Hezbollah = likely leaderless and fully infiltrated by Israel

Meanwhile in Tehran the clown show will continue as usual. Maybe if we are lucky some token missiles will be fired to get intercepted by Israeli AD and a strong warning that further assassination attempts will bringer harsher responses (they won’t).

Insanity, they had plenty of safer locations in Syria for operational meetings, this could mean both Iran and Hezbollah have cheese holes in the ranks.
to be fair a highly fortified underground bunker in Beirut is pretty safe relatively speaking if you want to meet Nasrallah.

Israel has been tracking Nasrallah for decades, and I would guess they knew about this location for most of that time. you don't need a mole for that. just very good aerial surveillance of Iranian diplomats and high ranking Hezbollah members that frequently visit one area of Beirut over a long period of time.

Incorrect analysis! The fact he refused to uphold a promised revenge strike on his #3 and did a “chicken coop” basic attack sealed his fate.

Israel picked off his commander and right hand man (red line #1) and did it in Beruit (redline #2) and his response was a joke.

What happened? Massive terrorist attack (pager) and More commanders got eliminated in subsequent strikes finally culminating in his own death.

That is a critical lack of deterrence strategy that he was directly responsible for.

Save me the BS about him trying to save Lebanon from destruction. South Lebanon was pulverized long before this strike and the largest single civilian death toll in Lebanon history happened under his watch.

Meanwhile Iran looks absolutely inept with the lack of revenge attack 2 months ago. The decision makers in Tehran also got Nasrallah killed.

We have been criticized here all along for insisting that war is nothing but killing each other no matter how far you go, and that it is wrong to fight with your hands tied.
However, Iran and Hezbollah have continued to fight in a pacifist way, never killing their enemies, and the result is what we see today.
Now the leadership of Hezbollah is decimated and has lost its ability to make decisions.
Iran is ruled by a pro-American president who won an election under U.S. interference after the president died an unnatural death and is begging the U.S. for peace.
This is the result of refusal to fight.
Now the Arab nations must be laughing at their decision to surrender to Israel and the U.S., and at how foolish Iran is.

high profile person like him had to have multiple "safe" locations and on the foot between, being static especially in war time, i do not know were to start explaining how reckless and unsound that is.

Good thing that retard Pezeshkian told the whole world, Iran doesn’t want war with Israel.

What a blunder. Israel has refused to strike Nasrallah several times until this week. Eventually Israel realized that these guys have no intention of going to war and took advantage.

You act like Nasrallah can escalate without getting permission from Khamenei himself.

Everything Hezbollah does is in close coordination with top IRGC officials and Khamenei directly.

Reason for Hezbollahs shocking paper tiger performance is direct order from Tehran ''Patience'' ''Not now''.

You act like Nasrallah wasn’t a paper Tiger.

Did you know Nasrallah regretted the 2006 war? He never thought it would escalate to a war. If he knew, he would have never authorized the cross border raid.

People act like he’s been a fierce fighter, quite the contrary he is cut from the same incompetent cloth as the others.
