Qaem 100:How much range would a Qaem-100/105 based ICBM have?
I slightly changed the title, hope you don't mindIran successfully inserts Soraya satellite into 750km LEO using Qaem-100 SLV
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran on Saturday sent its homegrown ‘Soraya’ satellite into a low Earth orbit (LEO) with the ‘Qaem-100’ satellite carrier. The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force successfully put Soraya into an orbit 750 kilometers above Earth in 11 minutes. The research...defencepk.com
This is a huge step for the IRGC-ASF space program and the third Iranian SLV to successfully place a satellite into LEO (after Safir and Qased).
Comparing Safir to Qaem-100 is very ignorantWe are merely recycling past capability and putting lipstick on it.
Lol no it’s not. They merely reduced the payload and sent to higher apogee. 50kg satellite is capability we demonstrated back in 2009.The fact of matter is we are still launching microsatellites under 100kg.
Sending 50kg is not impressive to 700+KM. If it was 250kg or 500kg then that’s a different story and long long overdue for this underwhelming space program.
We are merely recycling past capability and putting lipstick on it. Wether IRGC-ASF or ISA makes no difference as all SLVs come from Iranian military industrial complex.
I will not give credit to either group as this underperformance is not worth celebrating as I stated many times over the years.
