Even the jet powere variant won't go over 450 , the propeller variant is lower than thatNot the jet powered variant

Who knows maybe its a Shahed Saegheh/171 new versionUnless we built a new drone on that class , the speed of our current RQ derivates is 1/3rd to half of that speed , the only drones we had that can reach that speed is karrar and we have a surveillance version of it.
Also army once showed a drone that was an trainer they reporpused into a drone , that also probably can reach that speed but I'm not aware if it's fielded ,
Who knows maybe its a Shahed Saegheh/171 new version
It is probable Iran made advancements on the RQ based drones, this is starting to become old since it was made (a decade), they aren't sticking for life on S-171/Saegheh, 950km/h is attainable
The problem is we didn't see any evidence on thatYou assume it’s an unveiled variant.
I don’t dispute it’s Karrar or even merely an unidentified jet not using its transponder. But we shouldn’t be quick to dismiss and yet to be unveiled Iranian drone that is used for critical surveillance.
An optimized Iranian FJ-33 inside a drone (like 100-200% scale RQ-170) should be able to hit 950/KM hr no?
So why would Karrar turn on its transponder? The problem is we didn't see any evidence on that
Also rq driviate designed to do penetrative operation inside enemy line turn on transponder on those drone defeat the purpose of such drones .
Because it's not low rcs and it won't make sense to turn it off.So why would Karrar turn on its transponder?
Excuse me, but which is specifically the iranian HALE drone?. AFAIK Iran has no operative HALE UAV.Iran has a drone that is equipped with a SAR that has a range of 150kmView attachment 59970
This drone can be combined with an ASBM with a range of 1500km that Iran claims to possess.
In theory, this surveillance drone with SAR can patrol the Indian Ocean and identify an aircraft carrier or a destroyer at a range of 150km. Then the information about the location of the aircraft carrier can be transmitted to the ASBM that will be used to attack the enemy ship.
But there are significant challenges when it comes to the identification of the position of the enemy warship:
1) Because of the radar-horizon coastal radars have a range of only 120km and enemy warships will not come that close to the coast in a military environment
2) Over-the-horizon radars can detect the position of the enemy warship over long distances, but Over-the-horizon radars are fixed targets that will be destroyed by enemy cruise missiles during the first days of war
3) HALE drones with SAR can patrol the ocean and try to locate enemy warships, but their SAR's range is only 150km and the carrier battle group will not allow a drone to come that close to the aircraft carrier: SM-2 and F-18 will take out the drone before it will have a chance of locating the position of enemy warships
4) Satellites with SAR are the best option for identifying the location of enemy warships, but Iran doesnt have such satellites and will have to rely on Russia and China. And even if Iran develops such satellites by itself, they will be taken out by ASAT weapons.
Iran says it has deployed ASBM with a range of 1500km, but in addition to the missile Iran must also have:
1) Over-the-Horizon radars (DONE)
2) HALE surveillance drones (DONE)
3) Surveillance Satellites with SAR (NOT DONE)
This is an Iranian HALE drone with SARExcuse me, but which is specifically the iranian HALE drone?. AFAIK Iran has no operative HALE UAV.
On the other hand, there is other possibilities to locate enemy warships OTH (Over The Horizon). Mineral ME radars (Russian origin and well known in chinese PLAN with their own version) can easily perform the task of scanning over the horizon, classifying and target designation avoiding the earth curvature.
Those systems have been working for tens of years for all russian/chinese frigate and destroyers and even corvettes with long range missiles (Nanuchka class, for example). Iran has developed long range cruise missiles. Even Ghadir missiles can be considered a long range subsonic anti ship cruise missile. This Mineral ME system could allow IRGC Navy splendid Soleimani class to operate OTH and target ships with not only well known Ghadir missiles, the new low radar cross section missile canister shown this week could be easily guided at long range with them.
This HALE it is not operative. Moreover, we don´t have any evidence of even flight test. This is an Iranian HALE drone with SAR

The Iranian defense industry has unveiled an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) known as "Shaed-147," categorized as a High Altitude Long Endurance (HALE) drone, capable of flying at altitudes of up to 60,000 feet and remaining in the airspace for an extended period.defencesecurityasia.com
Tell me more about mobile OTH radars and their capabilities....
Mineral-ME is a line of sight naval radar that has a surface detection range of 250km....in the military environment all hostile targets in the radius of hundreds of kms from the aircraft carrier battle group will be taken out by the F-18, anti-ship Tomohawk and SM-6, while the carrier strike group itself will keep a distance from enemy shores.
This HALE it is not operative. Moreover, we don´t have any evidence of even flight test.
On the other hand Tomahawk in anti ship version are not operative. US Navy has same problem in OTH targetting. Only satellite targeting or HALE drones could provide OTH targetting (like chinese PLAAF/PLAN/PLANAF does with HALE drones like WZ7 Soaring dragon. While SM6 are not an antiship missile their long range and GPS guidance allow them to use in Anti ship modes, but those are just a second use, their small warhead makes them not capable of sinking something larger than 600 ton vessels and their GPS guidance can easily be jammed with well know by the IRIN/IRGCN technologies.
